"When you got Jira Software that includes Jira Work Management" is not 100% true. I ran into this issue with a Jira Software tenant, where i created a Work Management Project, wich had no AI Features. The Support of Atlassian told me, that it only includes the Free tier features, in order to use AI in WM i need to get the Standard plan of WM too.

Hey Vickey. Thanks for uploading such an informative video on JIRA Align when there aren't many on here on YT. Just one doubt. At 10:00 in that diagram you showing Theme is created at Portfolio level and you kinda combined Epic & Capabilities at Solution level whereas per SAFe 6.0 training that I had received lately and what I have seen in my company, we dont create Themes at all which could be optional per SAFe but we create Epics at Portfolio level, Capabilities at Solution level, Features at Program level and User Stories at Team level which is not exactly what you showed so not sure which one is correct or both are correct. Kindly clarify. But again Great video overall. Thanks so much.

3:36 This is a great overview. I’ve been digging into these tools recently myself to level up our current processes and people in the tool Confluence, and synchronize with the tool (Jira) which helps keep us on track with projects which center around future improvements to current process, people, and tools. I have had similar realization on topic of people, processes, and tools in a business. However, my version comes from a slightly different view as a result of pounding my head with our strategic planning housed inside these Atlassian tools. I just thought I’d share to spark additional perspective, ideas, thoughts for anyone who finds value. My perspective goes: Process, Metrics, People, Tools. 1. A business provides a service or product to solve a problem or add value in the world. 2. Because quality is MEASURED (Metrics) by the amount of deviation from its standard, quality must also be REPEATABLE, this requires a PROCESS in delivering your product or service to a quality standard. 3. Once we can map and define a PROCESS to deliver the product/service, this allows us to define the METRICS for how we’ll measure standard of quality from the process. 4. PEOPLE - Role Clarity: Clear documented PROCESSES provide an accurate job description of what the role does, helping to attract the right candidates. Performance Expectations: Outlining clear performance METRICS ensures that candidates understand what's expected of them and how to be successful. 5. Now to scale, you do this same thing for the manager level, which will be mapped on top of the above employee processes and metrics for the manager to recruit, train, and mentor employees in their role’s process and performance metrics. Now you can replicate employees to deliver your product/service with quality at scale. 6. Leadership role and success is then mapped from the manager level. The leader sets company objectives, and then holds the manager accountable through his/her measurable Key Results or outcomes, which is achieved by employees applying various performance standards to various areas of their measurable process. This results in the output of Key Performance Indicators which is essentially data gathered in various places in the process to determine performance towards the KR. 7. Applying this to Strategic Planning - OKRs and KPIs - Remember a process is the WHAT you are doing, broken down into smaller components so that you CAN measure WHAT is being done… KPIs (Employee) IS the data measured to INDICATE the PERFORMANCE if WHAT you are doing is producing the desired KEY RESULTS (KR)(manager), to accomplish the company Objectives (O). Objectives set by leaders, to know if we accomplish those objectives we need see these (measurable data) Key Results (KRs), and then the changes in processes driven data would indicate performance (KPI) towards producing the Key Results required to accomplish the Objective.

Then use the system field "affected services" to display those changes on affected services. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] if you have additional questions.

@@ValiantysGroup hey, yeh I am running a trial of premium. I have services enabled in Assets, I created a change and selected a service, then completed the change. When I created a problem I selected the same service. When I click the little drop down in the agents view I dont see anything about that change and no fields have enabled in the problem that show related changes. Do I need to bung on another field or something?

@SarahWright-ih4di
@SarahWright-ih4di Жыл бұрын
I have two workarounds for non-admins. In both cases, open filter and switch to search by JQL. In Data Center, add the desired field as a column, then sort by the column. This will display custom field id in the search bar next to "Order by" In Cloud, as you start entering a custom field name, the drop down should include the custom id after the field name. in both cases, you'll for the number in the brackets [] after cf. Example cf[42424] the id is 42424.

Thanks so much for reaching out! You can get the custom field IDs by going to admin cog - issues - custom fields. Find your field and click Edit (or Edit Details). The ID is in the URL (…jspa?id=xxxxx, where xxxxx is the id)

I am looking to create a portfolio of sorts of all my vendors that we have contracts. We want to store and manage the business side of efforts in Jira. I would like to think the work management tool would be the answer (as we have Jira for all our development projects) - but as I watched your demo, I do not see anything that would let me create a vendor and store all their vital financial and contract information (with links to Jira development). Am I barking up the wrong tree for an answer to my dilemma? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, thanks for reaching out. We use Assets, which is a separate relational database that comes with Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud Premium. You create objects in Assets, and then add those objects to Jira issues. For example, we have objects for each contact and each company, and those objects contain company and individual info that persists across issues. Please feel free to call or email and we can hop on a call to discuss it more.
