Been looking at this for a while and will be getting one thanks to your review. "Fine" is good enough for me to plink around the house 😂😂

@j8ck8ll Yeah absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's not the most exciting sidearm, but it works, and it's pink!

Yeah sounds like it will be great for you, just be mindful when using it with friends that it might fail at any point so ensure everyone has proper eye protection.

Is it going to be your primary weapon? I did dual weild two of these out of curiosity and they were ok as a main weapon but really you need the extended magazines. If you are using it as a backup and want something that looks different, that's a really good price, but remember they are functional but cheap so if you just want a good sidearm, I'd save a bit more money and go for a better weapon.

@TheKumaDono korean regulations are highly strict, they basically overprice everything 😢. Average full stock TM next gen series costs over 900USD here... I've been looking to get a vorpal bunny myself, but it's now over 500usd for tm original and even 250usd for a copied version...

hey, it is fixable tho, i just got mine, didnt had this problem yet but i did a couple things to it, i hammered the slide a little bit so the who upper slide doesnt wobble, i built in a static hopup diy style but it works and i use the drum mag (in the future i will probably convert it to hpa), my p08 is the long artillery version

WE Tech seem to have a habit of releasing a gun with a glaring flaw then resolutely failing to acknowledge or fix it. I've been looking for a Browning Hi Power and discovered they made one but, surprise, they've got a huge issue: the valve knocker is a SPRING which shears off if you insert a magazine while the hammer is forward. Worse, they've known about the issue for YEARS and still haven't fixed it after THREE model updates. That's a hard pass from me, thanks.

Man I had one of these back in the day. They made a drum mag for it. Fun fact: if it's 100 degrees outside, don't leave your fully green-gassed magazines outside. The bitch exploded.

Nice video; and well done for highlighting this issue. There's another shortcoming to this gun too; the striker (that in an airsoft pistol like this is supposed to strike the gas valve on the magazine) remains in the forward/extended position after firing, and interferes with the insertion/extraction of the mag. If you try to force the mag (in or out), you 'll likely break the striker, and then good luck finding a replacement... This is why the user must remember to always cock the replica before inserting or removing the magazine, to cause the striker to retract (as shown near the end of the video). Same issue (and still not fixed) with other early WE models, like the Browning Hi Power (at least the early GP35 model replica - not sure about the more recent MK III one). That said, I must admit to having one myself - and despite the shortcomings, I like it quite a bit (I have one of the aforementioned Brownings too! :-) But then again, I only have them for display, and the occasional plinking! I also got the wood imitation grips for the p08 - which seem to have improved a bit recently; they are no longer the hideous shiny tan bit of plastic they once were; WE seems to have put s o m e effort into making them look a little more like wood, so not entirely bad... BTW, there are videos on YT that show how to replace that dreadful little spring that goes bad (a n y other spring will do, e.g. one out of a pen!), but it requires taking apart the whole trigger group, and can be quite fiddly, so not too many people will probably attempt it themselves...

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I should have mentioned the striker "quirk" as well but thought it best to just focus on the big problem. I have seen those videos where people have fixed them, but a lot of them are pretty old (at least the ones I have seen) so might get overlooked by someone doing a casual quick search for recent problems before buying a replica.

Did you have to drill out the entire grip into a shell to stick it on over or is it possible to remove the original grips?
@w2o4ts77
@w2o4ts77 5 ай бұрын
@@biggreenangryman1904 No, you just have to undo the screw at the bottom of the grip (on each side) and the grip comes right off, exactly like on a real steel one. The problem with the WE (and other similar ones, like the KWC) is that the gun internals (magazine, grip frame etc) are -probably- more bulky than on a real p08; the plastic grips on the replicas are hollowed out and fit on the replica. If you try to put a wooden grip made for a real Luger, it will simply not fit and you 'll have to start removing material from the inside, until you make it essentially into a -relatively- thin shell, as you say, in order to fit on the -bare- gun itself. Too much work for me, which is why I went for the wood-colour plastic grips from WE themselves - which is again, of course, of the thin shell type. Thankfully, though, they don't look half bad, unless you examine them real close, that is.

would it be better to get the we tech or the kwc co2 version?
@w2o4ts77
@w2o4ts77 5 ай бұрын
@@RWPFILMS107 It appears that all p08 replicas (we, kwc, gletcher etc) are based off the same pattern (which you can also see in some details carried over to all of them, like e.g. the last 2 digits of what would be the serial number on an original gun, which are '15' on all of them, but look like they are the last 2 digits of the date of manufacture - 1915, also stamped on all of them, whereas they should belong to the serial - and no serial appears on all these replicas). Not sure which one is the 'original', though, that the others copied - some say it's the WE. That said, each manufacturer adds their own details -and things like quality control, probably- to their replicas. I *believe* I have seen way less complaints on the KWC version, than the WE one, but that's just me - there may be complaints that I missed. I also believe KWC, as a manufacturer, enjoys a better reputation of quality than WE. Also, being CO2-powered, the KWC should be a bit more powerful than the WE. I knew all this stuff when I picked the WE (which was even more expensive than the KWC at the time!), but I liked the idea that, being gas-powered, the magazine, when pulled out, looked a lot more like an original one - I was hung on the idea of an accurate replica, as mine spends most of its time on a display! 🙂 But for actual plinking, CQB etc (and for potential longevity), I think I'd recommend the KWC...
