We have very few rules in the jiu jitsu club I train at. Scissor takedowns is one of them.

I can tell that kid had no idea what move he hit. Just went with the flow. Definitely no malicious intent.

Looks like the guy who got hurt lifted the leg and the other guy fell. Purely incidental IMO

Really ambitious of a heavy weight to even try it, fat guys should stick to wrestling like grizzlies and leave the 619 shit to the lil guys. Like the look on the dude that did it lol he knew he fucked that up, it probably looked a lot cooler in his head lmfao
@organicmilk77018 күн бұрын
Other kid is just a fatty that fell wrong it wasn’t malicious

I don't find anything illegal move. I mean, sure, it's a bad takedown, a bad position. his leg was just tangled and it looked accidental. after all, it's wrestling. the goal is to take your opponent down, and sure, accidents can happen.
@Hatefuelsme7 күн бұрын
It took me a while to realize but he did throw a scissor leg takedown. Notice how his momentum falls back with force. But you’re right about it being an accident. That kid had no idea what move he hit, just his natural instinct. Definitely not malicious intent.

This move has been illegal in high school for decades. It is called a cutback. There is a picture of it in the back of the wrestling rules book every year.

Lib logic: It's not an illegal move because he's a human being, and no human being is illegal.

I snapped my arm completely in half my junior year of high school. I literally stood up on the gym floor, looked at my arm hanging down, and thought to my self “I’ll just put it back together”. So I picked my arm up, shoved it back into place and let go, well it literally just disconnected and flipped down and started swinging back and forth. I picked it back up, and walked into the trainers room, layed down on the ground and that’s when it started to hit me that my arm was in two pieces. I started shaking my arm so it was literally flopping back and forth. The trainer ran up to me freaking out telling me to stop (because obviously I was just doing way more damage to my nerves and ligaments 😂). But through the whole thing I never screamed or cried. The ER put a splint on me and sent me home, and told me to come back in two weeks. Didn’t get a second of sleep for the next two nights. After the 1st night my mom made an emergency appointment at a orthopedic. They ended up doing more X-rays and found that my main nerve was sandwiched in between bones when they had set it at the ER. I went into surgery the next day, and the anesthesiologist talked me into a nerve block with no painkillers. Cool thing was he missed the nerve, so when I woke up I could feel everything, every drill hole, screw, and scalpel cut. What was supposed to be an outpatient surgery ended up being a weeks long stay in the hospital and an addiction to opiates. 12 years later I still have no feeling in my left thumb, pointer, and middle finger as well as that half of my palm. But hey, it’s a cool story I guess!

wow. A kani basami scissor takedown. Not sure if that kid knew what he was doing, but that is banned in most jiu jitsu and judo schools just because of that. Never saw that before in wrestling practice. Hopefully the kid recovered, he is an adult now or close to it.

i personally believe that it was an accident, you saw how the other wrestler was on standby of the situation and at when they both went to the ground, the wrestler had no visual intention of breaking the other ones foot/leg
