Good video. Came for the tips. Thoughts on using APS at 15:1, as a pre-treatment and followed up by Rinseless as the actual wash? California here. Water restrictions

A guide coat on sanding? Any reason why? Not critiquing, just honestly interested.
@oberkcarcare10 ай бұрын
It helps keep sanding uniform as well as helps make sure the previous grit is removed before going to the next finer grit. I usually use it after 600, 800, 1000. I do it after 1500 also but doesn’t stick in the fine scratches as well. On the more coarse grits above, you can see your work pretty easily. For example, If I guide coat after 800 and then sand with 1k, you can see the sand scratches still left with it. Once I get to 1k, I guide coat, sand fully, then guide coat it again and go over it one more time to make sure.

Thank you!!!!! I don’t think most people realize the amount of hours that goes in once the heavier sandpaper is out, or if the car is straight black in this instance. It was very difficult to cut hours down or save time anywhere becAuse you just couldn’t hide or cut corners anywhere. Many times we will try to save hours on things that don’t matter, knowing that we will probably repolish after it comes back from the show.

Ring Brothers never disappoint. Their cars are elegant and sophisticated. Some builders don't have that. They go too far and shave everything and change everything. The only criticism I have on this stunning Dodge is the color. Black cars are stupid. You dont not see the shapes/lines anything. You just see a giant black spot with 4 wheels. There's a gazillion colors to chose from and they pick black. Crazy to me anyway. Not even talking about maintenance of mirror black. lol

@Gabriel-415 Жыл бұрын
How would you maintain the towels? I am guessing since they're cotton you wouldn't want to wash it with your microfibers?
@oberkcarcare Жыл бұрын
You definitely don’t want to wash together. Keep cotton separate. I wash them together like You would with drying towels. They last forever and super easy to keep clean. I recommend washing before use. I almost feel like they get better as they get washed a few times. Honestly microfiber cleaner probably works better than laundry detergent, but you don’t need much at all and both work for cotton towels.
