Is difficult for me to understand thay January is a hot month !!! In my country (Catalonia, Spain) now is very cold, with temperature down zero degrees at night and between ten or fifteen degrees at noon. When I see you wearing a t-shirt I'm surprised. The world clima is very diferent depending in wich latitude the country is. In winter time our meals also changed than the summer time, with heat value to protect the body.

I'm glad you got some January rain. That's what we need in southern California. This is normally our rainy season, but this year it's totally dry, with hot Santa Ana winds and fires in some areas (thankfully not where I live).

Some of the people who go to Nairobi expecting to come back may never return. But it seems to me that you are a good farmer and you want to keep making things grow and looking after the land. And I think that just as electricity has come to the village, and just as the roads are being improved, eventually piped water will come too, and perhaps more jobs
