I know this video is 2 years old but I hope that the coin battery is replaceable without using a soldering iron on the new revision of your clocks. I recently ordered 2 of your clocks. One was an IN-12 which I already got and an IN-14 slim which is coming next week.
@NixieShop Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the purchases :) As for the coin batteries - they all are soldered directly in all the models. But on the other hand they do not require frequent replacement - one battery should keep the current time for nearly 10 years (if not shorted accidentally).

is there a specific place you source the tubes from? i don’t want to buy a slightly different one when i replace it. thanks
@NixieShop Жыл бұрын
I buy them from several local sellers. It is not a problem to by from a different place, just make sure you are looking for a correct model of the tube (e.g. IN-14, IN-8, IN-8-2 etc)

We have a local supplier here in Ukraine (scrap metal companies who recycle old electronics or liquidate various old warehouses). They are also available on ebay or Etsy or at my website here nixieshop.com/in-14_or_in-8-2_or_in-8_nixie-tubes.html. These particular tubes are IN-14's.

Hello Petro! Could you make a little video setting the time on this model?
@NixieShop2 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for the late response. Unfortunately I'm out of the stock of these clocks at the moment and can't take a new video. But in general changing the current time is pretty the same as for the other clocks (I have another video on the channel). You will need to click the handle till you get in the time edit mode - the clock will display current tile and the hour tubes will blink indicating edit mode. And then you can rotate the knob to edit the value. I hope that helps

The clock is well made, its better than my OMNIXIE PLUS clock that costed about a grand that burned out do to the enclosure design. The problem with many others who make this clock is they make the pcb enclosure to small which makes the clock wear down faster. With this clock the encloser is not only nicely spaced inside for the pcb but also has plenty of ventilation with holes at the bottom and around the enclosure
@youtubeAtraiu4 жыл бұрын
The one thing I don’t like about this clock. Is It only has the slot machine effect to prevent cathode poisoning. I think there are better solutions like in the video I had linked. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZylqHp9hpprg6s

How long do the in-14 tubes usually last?
@NixieShop5 жыл бұрын
Mostly they will work for many years. But since they all were manufactured more than 30 years ago there is a risk of random failures. It is not that high though.
