I too use premiere for around 4 years now! Its not the most convenient to use but people usually still stick to it because they get used to it and are afraid to change to a different software... And maybe a solution to your problem in the end of the video could be to duplicate the file instead of re importing it from the project browser, as in and out points for that video is set, duplicate the video and double click to adjust in and out points.. Hope it helps
