Unfortunately, Shaun Martin recently passed away. His solo made such a massive impact on me (as he did with many others). I listen to his solo on a regular basis and maybe that is one of the highest honors we can give a musician. Glad you got to hear this. Wishing you well.

R.I.P. Shaun Martin… you are already missed. I see you’ve seen Jacob Collier with SP, now you should seriously consider a dive into the Jacob Collier rabbit hole. I’d recommend ”Don’t You Worry ‘bout a Thing” or “The Flintstones Theme” for starters…

I’d recommend ”Don’t You Worry ‘bout a Thing” or “The Flintstones Theme” for starters… *edit, because I couldn’t reply to your reply* There’s also JC’s magnum opus, his cover of “Moon River”… see how many famous folks you can identify in the intro singing the word ‘moon’.

Amen🙏🏾. Jacob Collier's "Don't You Worry Bout a Thing" was the video that introduced me to him. I haven't seen it years. Definitely wouldn't mind making a reaction video for it. Haven't seen the Flinstones Theme video yet, so I'll definitely add that to the list!

The keyboard JC is using is a one-of-one keyboard called a choralizer which will choralize JC’s voice (from mic input) to as many keys as he can hold down while matching his tone/tambre. Jacob collaborated with MIT Media dept. to bring this keyboard into existence. By the way, JC said in an interview this song is actually in 14/4, not in 7/4 as you commented…. the arrangement of this song from JC’s first album was done by Jacob and Michael League. i only hope i can one day be one of the privileged individuals who get to see these songs recorded…. that’s a bucket list worthy experience.

Cory Wong’s horn section was formerly known as the ‘Horn Heads’ who toured with Prince. Apparently Cory Wong and his band was recorded in Minneapolis while Dirty Loops was recorded in Sweden (per an interview with Cory) As far as reaction music, try Jacob Collier (new album just dropped) … or the group Voiceplay (“Nothing Else Matters” cover)
