It would be a long story to explain how I got into the TS so I can't go into all the that happened to lead me to this journey so I will just go into a few short sentences. When I was 14 years old I met a person at a state fair in Milw, wisc. and Had what I later learned could have been a vision from a past life. It was a quick meeting that lasted, at that time, only a few short minutes and I didn't realize how that incident would lead me to the TS in later years. I have since been a member going on 44 years because of that incident. It truly was a life changing experience and one that I cherish to this day. This person whom I met was a complete stranger to me at the time and later through certain events I was able to go back to Milw and explain what happened to me on that fateful day in August of 1961. I hope to remain a member until the close of my life if permitted. Many blessings to all for this chance to share a few words on the subject. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do that stretches around the world. Love and LIght to All. Joan Haye, Charleston Theosophical Study Center Leader

I was introduced to Theosophical Society when Carl Weschcke purchased Llewellyn Publishing many years ago while living on Summit Avenue in St. Paul, MN. Relocating to CA during the early 70's a group of us free thinkers traveled to the Philosophic Religious Free Library, Manly P. Hall's Philosophic Research Society and the Rosicrucian Fellowship. On one of those excursions I found Mde Blavatsky's Secret Doctrine that I eventually purchased from a collector - a delightful worm eaten edition that I reference amongst many other books, including the Secret Teachings. I joined the Theosophical Society because of Mde B and continue to collect reference material from Abe Books, which I believe is owned by TSA. Bright Blessings.
