He sang all the demos and sang the parts of both Barnum and Phillip when he was sick to get the movie greenlit. After he did that the makers of the movie just threw him out for no apparent reason.

It's not that she's not impressed. I think it's more that she is focusing on her character, the wife of Jeremy's character. Especially because of the camera present for advertising their performance, and that they are rehearsing with the composer, Jason Robert Brown, who is exceptionally particular about how his songs are performed. I'm late to reply here, but this is Come Up to My Office from the musical Parade. You can find the whole concert on youtube and it covers the whole show. It's one of my favorite musicals so I highly recommend!

It’s called Rise or Fall from “In the Light” by Michael Mott. There are a few versions as Michael has changed the lyric to reflect changes in the story. It’s a Faustian tale. The one that is now a duet (with the “devil” )is the most recent version available. The score is wonderful, you will love “Rise and Fall” and “Let go of me”. A much more classical sound. Also check out “Try” from the same composer, sung by JJ as well. If you have not heard him sing “Prepared” by Georgia Stitt you should check it out, amazing!🤗🥰

hes actually playing a jew accused of rape. the musical is parade in concert theres a great recording of it on youtube. its very very depressing but really one of my favorites
