@@lifeoflonny Yes, its a UV light or Black Light. ( not just a purple colored light ) If it does glow that will mean the glass has Uranium in it ( not enough to harm you ) Lots of people collect Uranium glass.

@@lifeoflonny The glass can glow different colors. Depending on the materiel used, thats the color the glass will glow. You can look up glowing glass or " glowy glass " ( slang word )an that should tell you about it.

That lamp is so pretty & I was wondering about the bulb when u plugged it in. So many great pieces during that trip. I so wish I was there to pick up that Dooney, I throw my canvas & nylon bags in the wash & they're like new. That Weekender will be great on Posh. The flatware price typo, even if they were self-cleaning & indestructible $799 would be crazy😂.

Yes, I've done the bleaching method before. It gives the wood just a natural finish. It's really pretty. I've never tried the oven cleaner method. We may try that, too. Thank you so much for watching ☺️

I'm so happy I picked up the drink dispenser with stand, for only $5.49, too. I can't believe it! Adding a plant inside the crock is just chefs' kiss! I lovvvvvve it! It's so beautiful! Let me know what your favorite item is that I picked up this week.

You are correct, Thomas! GW had absolutely no idea. With most thrift stores looking up the value of donated items, I love it when I'm able to find something they've missed or assume is worthless. That pottery piece is beautiful. Thank you so much for watching ☺️

Loved the bedroom set. For $550 you can't beat it. The furniture nowadays are made cheaply and fall apart and they charge over $1000 almost for each piece.

I live on the MO side of the line and all of our thrift stores have gotten too pricey for me. Even the smaller stores that are supported by the churches in the community, they look things up on eBay & price them accordingly. I used to thrift shop weekly but not any longer. Better deals found on marketplace, I think. We stopped at a Red Racks in Springfield last week and those prices were beyond CRAZY, a Pfaltzgraff soup tureen was priced at $98.00 . There are no excuses for that.

On occasion, a treasure will slip through the cracks, so to speak. That's what I'm hoping to find, mixed in with the overpriced junk. It is so frustrating, but I do have a lot of fun looking.
