Nice solos all around.

The biggest difference is not Harouna's super chops, but his Divine touch...clean and crisp.

Funny, the African guys are the only ones with shoes on. Notice how Harouna creates lots of space in his solos. He lets them breath as he develops his theme. He uses his super chops sparingly, making it all the more powerful when he does. Clean, clear sounds make for good music.

Amazing fun to follow along to!! which size are you or he using here? do you read our messages here? For solo do you prefer the larger Djembe of Diameter: 33 - 35 cm Height: 64 - 65 cm or do you prefer the Djembe of Diameter: 30 - 32 cm Height: 58 - 63 cm I am in the process of shopping right now... It is about 88 euro between the sizes... how to best choose? I such a beautiful instrument.. I have played the drumkit since I was a kid, but wanna try the Djembe now as a different way to be close to the instrument and the sound waves ... Thanks for any advice on what to consider in size differences...

It's amazing how many of these native drummers are on You Tube. Equally amazing is the fact that they all sound virtually the same. I can only figure that it takes very little talent to do that.

it´s joke right?:-D otherwise this would have to be considered as a pure direspect, misshearing and zero knowledge about music
@darz38297 ай бұрын
@@Djembemafia Sadly, it's no joke. -- Regarding direspect (I presume you meant disrespect) - if something is presented as an extremely limited and primitive endeavor it hasn't earned respect. Misshearing? They are playing the same patterns over and over. Yes, I'm hearing a few variations, just as there's a difference between the number of sesame seeds on a McDonald's bun versus a Wendy's burger. Not significant. "Zero knowledge about music?" I taught music in an elementary school. In my professional life I composed, arranged for the Royal Philharmonic of London. I also made all sorts of world music, jazz, classical, and show music for many projects at Disney World, Motion pictures and stage shows. I know about melodies, harmonies, sophisticated rhythms in different applications, lyrics, complicated arrangements using many multiple instruments, music theory and chords, and dynamics, plus the esoteric practice of syncing to mechanical and electronic sources. Oh, and by the way - in elementary school I taught a drum circle and the kids picked it up in one session. Even the lesser talented ones.
