You just wasted a lot of time and didn't do a damn thing. First don't use the plugs, just lift up your pump and put it on top of that big box you have next to your pump. Second just hosen out your filter with enough pressure to get the excess algae off and put it in a 5 gal bucket with a little shock in it overnight. Put in a second filter in the pump and alternate the 2 every couple of days.

Thank you so much for the critique of my methods. These so called not doing a damn thing has worked for me. The hoses duo not like to be lifted up and down as you describe. For they are old and brittle. So the black pieces work better for me. All my subscribers or few May benefit from your alternate method Thanks again

Pretty sure it was about 4yds maybe 5..pretty expensive stuff. But worth placing underneath the liner. Much softer on your feet under the pool. Much less chance of it getting a hole...tear...or worse.good luck.

Kind of hard to explain through writing. Basically the center of the circle is your level point... Move the board around and place a brick at several locations.. This will be your level.

The sand was damp when apllying it. I tamped the sand briefly as i ran the 2x4 around the circle to level it. Not with a tamper per say but was really smooth, allowed to setle for a few dys before erecting the pool on top of the sand base. Thank you for watching stay tuned for upcoming videos of everyday goings ons.

I thought these pools say not to set on the sand because of the possibility of the sand shifting?
@jaxgman44
@jaxgman44 6 жыл бұрын
Stacey Gipson, did not read that anywhere. Having set up this pool on both the bare ground and on a sand base. The sand is much BETTER considering the button if the pool is prone to punctures, sitting on the bare ground even the slightest stick or heavy weed can puncture the liner. But with the sand (and a tarp) much smoother bottom. Feels much better on your feet running around in the pool
@BrilliantDesignOnline
@BrilliantDesignOnline 6 жыл бұрын
Stacey Gipson The sand acts as a buffer between the fragile liner, and the dirt and rocks and weeds. Spray weed killer on the sand and saturate. It is recommended that you put down 2" of sand to protect the liner. But the base frame should sit on the leveled hard surface (possibly with patio stones at the uprights) and ALWAYS Dig out the high side (avoid filling)! www.backyardcitypools.com/AG-Basic-Pool-Installation-Guide.htm

Sorry but why put sand and not set it just on ground..
@jaxgman44
@jaxgman44 6 жыл бұрын
Jose Ramirez, Great question, the answer is. To have a nice firm but smooth bottom of thee pool, sand will provide that. Setting the pool right oin the ground brings in a potential host of issues, sticks can poke, break through the liner, maybe not at first. But add a couple 1.000 gallons of water weight and you have a rough bottom of your pool to stand on, and the real threat of a puncture from a unknown source. Hope that helps.

how much sand did you get?
@jaxgman1083
@jaxgman1083 7 жыл бұрын
House Of Games , I used approximately 3 yards of sand, I had it delivered right beside the pool and then after lunch I leveled the dirt in spread a small layer of sand on top to aid in leveling and to make it smooth. worked great, I would not recommend putting the blue tarp underneath it if you have water flow over your property, the pool wanted to move so I had to build a small bulkhead to hold the ground in place so pool would not wash away. thanks for watching

You set that pool up with no sand underneath? I just bought the 12'x30" and am not sure if I need the sand or not. I will have to level the yard out a bit.. but was going to put it right on the dirt (removing the grass). Did you remove the grass or just put it right on top? I plan on taking it down at the end of every season.
@jaxgman44
@jaxgman44 7 жыл бұрын
ok sorry for the delay. Yes I put that smaller pool right on the grass. If you want to take out all of the grass you can. BUT at least take a hard rake and the a flexible one and rake the area very well, making sure to get rid of any possible twigs or sticks that could puncture a hole in the bottom of the pool. The new video for the bigger pool I did lay down about 3 yards of sand and leveled it out with a 2x4 stuck in the middle with a large nail. This worked very well for the big pool but i found it not necessary for the smaller pool. now a word to the wise, Definitely Vacuum out the pool and clean it out the best you can before you drain it. Then starting from one side start standing or propping the pool up in the air and get as much of the bottom off the ground as possible. Once propped up let it stay up for at least a day to let the bottom dry off ,then lower it down and flip it over and rinse off the bottom and again let it dry completely before you roll it up and double bag it to put it away for the winter. i had my small one for over 6 years doing it this way and every year when i took it back out for set up I did not get slapped in the face with a fowl odor after opening the trash bags. Hope this helps and good luck.

Mason sand, sometimes called mortar sand, can normally be found at any sand/gravel yard or masonry supply yard. It is usually measured in yards. It is very fine and should not contain any rocks or pebbles. This will create a very smooth bottom and is the most popular method to use when installing an above ground pool.

how did u do the slope in the middle.... I'm trying to figure out the slope part for my 24 foot
@jaxgman44
@jaxgman44 7 жыл бұрын
Brian King, what I did was to put or attach a wedge board from the middle to about 6 ft in. cut like about 8 inches down to nothing, then attach it tho the bottom of your leveling board you have. now when you drag this board around it will create a slight reverse dome shape in the middle of the pool level area. this is how to get this deeper I the middle for a round pool. hope that helps.

Why can't I use an extension cord
@jaxgman44
@jaxgman44 7 жыл бұрын
extension cord lengthens the distance the electricity has to travel and weakens the amount of juice that gets to the motor, this will fry a motor too much or too little amps or volts to the motor will fry any electric motor some faster than others. Read the owners manual and it will explain maybe better.

jinxed, you are way off if you think that keeping the pump on with the filter cap off is going to allow the water to flow back into the pool. all of the water will indeed flow right out of the top of the filter housing. only when you replace the filter and tighten the lid back down on to it should you turn the pump on. then and ONLY THEN will the water flow through and go back I to the pool. cleaned by your newly cleaned out filter as well. I sure hope this will help people whom you have confused I'm sure.BUT AGAIN there is no way the pool water can go back I to the pool with the filter cap off, all of the water will simply flow right out of the top. PERIOD..
@jinxed_jinxed_3443
@jinxed_jinxed_3443 8 жыл бұрын
Nah you did that filter changing and priming all wrong dude, I been doing this for years and first of all you turn the filter pump on, then unscrew and change/clean your filter insert, this will keep water from the pool flowing through the pump and back to the pool without it flooding out the top of the pump, you then fit the filter insert into the screw down top and insert them both into the pump, then you turn the pump off and unscrew the air bleed nut on the top until like you said it bleeds the air out and waters running through it, then you screw it back up before you switch the pump on, or else it will start sucking air back into the pump.
