halal guys is the worst halal cart in nyc. It's all hype and only tourists go there now. It legitimately is the absolute worst one and every new yorker who lives here knows this. Go to any other one and it will be better for sure. You said yourself it wasn't all that great. You know that copycat cart you saw? I never ate there but I guarantee, GUARANTEE, that guy is probably actually better. No joke, no exaggeration. There is no inherent benefit to getting the original anymore, that ship has sailed a long time ago. Other halal carts improved on that combo meal greatly. There are about 1000 halal carts in nyc at any time. They are now a strong bond to our culture, and going to any of them will be a true NY resident experience. Halal guys is the tourist experience, everywhere else is the real now.

So that's the Original McDonalds Brothers Restaurant in Cali that had to change back to the Mcdonalds logo after Ray Kroc totally took over- I grew up in Des Plaines Illinois home of the first Ray Kroc McDonalds franchise- I used to go there in the 70's and get breakfast there before going to work nearby
