Ive got colitis ive been septic twice in the last year im scared to death its going to kill me i just got out of hospital few days ago got a gastro appointment in a few more days my colon large intestine and kidney had lots of infection around them i know i lost 20 pounds im scared im going to have to have surgery

I was due to have most of my small intestine removed but the operation got cancelled when Covid hit the hospital. I'm now on biologic injections and eating veg, lentils and beans, etc and no processed food or sugar and I'm doing ok.

Thank you for sharing your story. I just got diagnosed with Crohn’s disease after not knowing what’s been wrong with me for 6 months. I used to be a gym rat but I haven’t stepped in the gym since the beginning of my symptoms. Trying to find the right treatment that works for me. Well done Logan! Thanks for sharing your amazing journey to recovery. I'm so happy for you! -I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in Feb 2023. I can understand your feeling of helplessness while sick, although I wasn't as bad off as you. Nevertheless, I still lost a lot of weight, and I was scared to eat. And I had no energy. And I was hospitalized twice in 6 weeks. But when I finally received an infusion of remicade, I KNEW that I could get better. And my healing occurred quickly! I've regained my lost weight and strength, and I've hiked Mt Baldy several times. Anyway, I wish you continued good health!

Because normal people start a family when they are in their 20's (or at least start trying around then). My parents had me in their mid 30's and it cost them thousands of dollars because by that age, 90% of womens' eggs are gone and it is MUCH harder to carry a baby to term (especially a healthy one). My parents were already "middle aged" by the time I graduated middle school (a.k.a. 13-14 years old). Nobody wants to be that parent that is to old to keep up with a hyper 8 year old on a sugar high. Or go sledding on a snow covered hill / play at the pool or beach with them.

I settled down early. It had its pluses and minuses.

Don't settle, explore and grow brother 😊
