hey, my kaizo hack isn't working. when i launch riivolution and enable the harder mario hack and go on launch and play the first level, then everything is normal except the background, it changed. what can i do to fix it?

So I really wanna play this romhack but every time I try launching it through riivolution, it either gives me a DSI error code or launches the game then crashes when selecting saves. Please tell me what I can do!
