14:11 They do actually tell you that you don't need to learn HM. I remember they specifically tell you that as long as a Pokemon is capable of learning the HM move(and you have the required Gym badge), you can use the HM without learning it. But one of the features I loved the most was that they make a lot of things make sense in the game. For example, Garchomp is outright stated to fly at very high speeds, and is clearly strong enough to carry it's Trainer too, but you can't fly on your Garchomp in the main games, but in Unbound, you can fly on your Garchomp. Same with Metagross, he's always shown to levitate, but the mainline games never utilize that, but this game does. But just because Metagross can fly, the game doesn't let that interfere with the battle mechanics by making it immune to Ground types even though he should be. Similarly, the Pyroar that you evolve in this game has a Hidden Ability called Royal Roar which is a Sp Attack version of Moxie. In the main line games, Pyroar gets Moxie, but Pyroar's a Sp Attacker, not physical, so what's Moxie doing for it? Yes it does give him Attack boost, but he'll clearly benefit more from Sp Attack boost, and this game knows that. Then, in the Post Game, you capture all these Legendaries only to deposit them in your PC, but this game gives you a reason to use them. There's a mission where, you have to beat the Pokemon League challenge, using monotype teams, meaning all the Pokemon on the team should share a type. That makes it so that you have a reason to make 18 different teams, other that your main team to beat the League. Moreover it's optional, so your don't HAVE to do it. But it's really refreshing for those who chose to do it. And there are MANY of such minute things, which fixes the many problems in the actual mainline games. I think the Pokemon company has a lot to learn from this game in a good way, because in many ways, this games a straight upgrade on the actual games. In short, went into this game as"just another fangame this time Hoopa as MC", but was pleasantly surprised. So give it a try. You'll surprise yourself.

If you haven't played them yet, I highly recommend both Reborn and Rejuvenation. Reborn is a classic among edgy Pokémon fan games, alongside Insurgence, but it’s leagues ahead in almost every aspect. While Reborn’s story is definitely edgy, it mellows out around the halfway point. The game features a variety of intriguing characters set in a unique region that feels fresh and original, all while delivering some of the most enjoyable battles I've experienced in a Pokemon game. Just be warned: it can be brutally challenging, significantly tougher than most fan games and ROM hacks. Then there’s Rejuvenation, which I can only describe as the best fan game I’ve ever played. It’s essentially Reborn but improved in many ways, a better-paced story, an incredibly likable cast, and stunning production values that rival if-not surpass the mainline Pokemon games and of course great battles. It does have its moments of edge and cringe, but they’re the likable kind of edge and cringe at least IMO. One thing to note is that both games are extremely dialogue-heavy. I personally enjoy JRPGs, so it’s not an issue for me, but I know many fans prefer to jump straight into battles. Those expecting a straightforward narrative like in most games might find themselves frustrated. However, if you’re like me and appreciate meatier and more story-driven Pokemon games, then you really won't find anything quite like these two.

I'd put Unbound at #1 too but you missed the best thing about it, the sidequest system. That's what really made it unique because it forces you to explore everywhere, battle in different ways, and use Pokémon you otherwise wouldn't if you want to 100% the game.
