Good advice, im finishing up the checkie quilt (my first quilt of your patterns) and im not happy with my fabric choices. Im not sure why. But my husband says "just quilt it". And now im liking it more and more as i go.

If my quilt top isn't completely square before I add the borders, I will either take in a seam here and there or let it out. This, of course, depends on the pattern, and if it will show up. I can usually ease the top into the borders if there is less than an inch difference, I always cut the two opposite borders the same length, so that I end up with a squared top to make the longarm happy.

I love that large stripology ruler. Would you mind sharing where you purchase it? I have been cutting my own strips in various sizes and I love my stripology ruler but it is only 12” squared. The fabric is beautiful.
