This song was one that my band worked up to perform, but never did, probably because, unfortunately, it was out of our singer’s range. This didn’t keep it from being played non-stop on the stereo at our keyboard player’s house where we practiced. The song’s sentiment, lyrics, and lilting repetition made it the sweetest make-out music on the couch of any girlfriend in the country. A sweet, sweet song from my teenage years!

Deon Jackson was a one hit wonder with Love Makes The World Go Round in 1966 He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1946 and sadly passed away in 2014.

I grew up in the northeast U.S. (upstate New York) but I remember that this song got some airplay in the late 60s. I believe it is a cover of a song originally done by the OJs. I like this version better.
