I only discovered Mio’s channel after she already passed. I am just blown away by how compassionate and thoughtful Mio was right through to the end. The worst things happen to the best of people. Though I never knew Mio personally, I can feel that she was salt of the earth- just truly the kindest of souls (and so very funny, too). Watching her videos has made me want to be the best person that I can be toward others. I so incredibly appreciate her constant reminders to always show the ones we care about that we love them… to always extend gratitude and graciousness. I will absolutely be taking her wise words with me through life. May you rest in peace, Mio. To Joe, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I could not imagine. I hope that you are able to find comfort in your life, and that your grief is never too much to bear. We are all behind you supporting you. I wish you all the best in life ❤

Was so hoping she would get to go on the trip 😢❤

I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 31 March 2023. before I started chemo the oncologist and my surgeon said the tumour is big and is blocking my liver and a blood vessel unless the tumour shrinks the surgeon said she cannot operate on me. I underwent chemo 7th cycles and radiation therapy 5 treatments both did not work the tumour did not shrink. before the chemo they said it was not spreading but after the radiation therapy the CT scan showed 2 small spots in my lung and 1 small spot in my liver. my last option according to the oncologist is to participate in the cancer screening program they took my blood sample and stool sample. since 02 Nov 2023 until 01 April 2024 I have no treatment just waiting for the results coming from the cancer screening program hoping they can find a treatment that will shrink the tumour. so while waiting I started fasting from 7pm till 11:30 12:00 or 1:00 pm the next day. I eat mostly vegetables with fish or chicken. if I crave for coffee it is always black sometimes I will have green tea no sugar. I stop eating rice which I replaced with couscous but I also stop eating couscous to lose weight more. there are times I will eat wholemeal bread with cheese. and recently I find having salad with apple is making me full already. I wanted to lose weight because during chemo they said I should not lose weight I forced myself to eat anything. I tried to exercise the way I did before but slowly walking around the block but I do not want to overdo it when I feel I am tired I will stop. I was prescribed Creon which I am taking and Oxycontin 10mg for pain. I experienced intense pain after the radiation therapy was finished. I wanted to lose weight and hoping that by fasting I am starving the cancer cells. I just hope someone could share what exactly foods that will help shrink the tumour. I was told by another doctor that there will be no operation and the last oncologist whom I had consulted with said my illness cannot be fixed. I felt I am being abandoned to die. that oncologist suggested another chemo but I reminded him it did not work the first time but he did not suggest another chemo of another meds maybe of stronger dose I do not know. but why should I undergo another chemo if it was not working before. why should I put myself into so much pain if it is not working. chemo is killing me faster than the cancer itself. chemo made me so weak, losing my appetite losing my hair making me so so weak. at the moment I am more stronger compared those days I had chemo. aside from fasting I tried not to take pain meds. but sometimes the pain is too much I could not sleep the pain meds would make me feel drowsy. I am praying to God I will survive another 9 years despite having a tumour I hope it will not spread even if it will not shrink as long as it is not spreading I can take the pain. many I have read who survived is because they were operated or others the chemo did shrink the tumour. please share with me what foods that might help so the tumour will not grow more will not spread. I feel in my heart I will survive plus the prayers of my friends who knew my condition my faith in God is the reason I am still alive today. may all cancer patients survive and be healthy and stronger again in Jesus Name Amen.

With every Blue Jay game we watch we think of you. I had surgery in Toronto on Opening Day and wow were the streets buzzing. My family staying at a hotel kept me informed of all the fans coming and going in and out over the time we were in Toronto. I am sorry you are in hospital again Mio but I’m glad you are able to get the care you need by being in hospital and having them catch the infection while you are there is probably a good thing. They can watch it and treat you before the procedure to get the drain. Sending you all my love and continued strength dear friend. 💜💜
