I'd love to understand where he stuck that rubber plug! 🤣 Gotta go look at my head.

When did the orange seal engines come out? Also wondering about the older seal with the black strand of wire? what years were they made?

So he says "my intake is going to be my smallest feeler gauge", but in the same breath says "my exhaust is going to be my smallest"? And when giving lash clearence's he's giving the intake the largest clearances? Am I hearing this correctly? I understand the separation he's referring to, but one would think the intake would be the smallest clearance to allow for more lift? Did Dan get his words mixed up, or does he actually entourage a larger lash clearance for the intake compared to the Exhaust?

I'm confused too because he says the wider the LSA the lower the torque curve. Generally more overlap gives you more low end torque.

I own a dyno and have honestly spent 200+ hours messing with these turd engines. REGARDLESS of the slide used I can tell you that I found the best results with BOTH intake and exhaust lash set at 0. As far as running the low speed needle way out to act as an “accelerator pump” he’s full of shit. here’s why. The only way an accelerator pump works is to pump more fuel and air at a specific time. With a fixed low speed jet by running the needle way out all your doing is allowing more AIR. Again he contradicted himself because if these engines like more fuel on the bottom end why in the fuck would I put more air to it which LEANS it out on the bottom since the jet only allows so much fuel . I think this guy need to spend some more time on a dyno.

@@chrisburnsed6349 With the needle height set to richest and giving most air with air mixture screw, kind of make sense to me. But I don't own a dyno and just starting to experiment. There are clearly differences on the track as top runners seem to have stronger pull out of a corner. I am sure carb settings and playing with valve lash make some sort of a difference.

So you reccomend not having the gearing set to hot the limiter at the end of the straight

If you run any restrictor you want to hit the proper rpm where it makes its most torque. If you run a black slide (no restrictor) then you want to hit the rev limiter just at the end of the straight.

Excellent videos. Thanks. LO206 is new in Australia, and as someone interested in starting Karts , this info is invaluable. I am going to watch all again and take notes. Can u pull the vids in a week , dont want my future competition watching these,.😁👍
