It´s more than 30 years ago when i saw them playing in Fulda, Germany. John´s voice is still so powerfull. It makes me so happy to see this fire still burning in his eyes

My favorite band since my High school Days .As vocalist in the church we sing their songs during concert crusades and now I,m 50 by Gods grace still happy seeing and hearing their songs and updates from them.

Ots been my favorite Christian band right from whe. > was a teenager O just turned 50 in March this year and it is still my favorite Christian band and will forcer be my favorite, Luv you,Petra just sad to see Louie Weaver mot there I am a women drummer myself started in 1996 playing drums and I am still myself amazed how Louie plays the drums

Soy fan de ésta banda desde 1994.... Cabe decir que hoy tengo 38 años.... Prácticamente toda mi vida estuvo musicalizada por Petra.... Qué bandazaaaa!!!! Bendiciones hoy y siempre!!!!!

I saw Petra in Columbia and Charleston S.C... it was the Beyond Belief tour. They had the most incredible shows back then. I still have my "Beyond Belief " tee shirt. Black with big pink letters on the front and a list of places in the tour on the back.. it's the longest lasting shirt I've ever had

Started listening to Petra in '83 in college-! now 61. Always keeps me going, still ( especially need the energy when MS and other chronic illness just wipe me out. With their music my spirit and body are "quickened"/ more alive. PTL for Petra!!

Awesome. Opposite for me ! I'm now a Dan Vasc fan because I saw Dan's great "Beyond Belief" duet with John Schlitt & John Larry. So cool to hear how Dan - who now does cover songs with millions of views on KZbin - was inspired to sing by Petra 15 years back. Dan's got a very gifted powerful voice ! I've been a Petra fan since age 17 when I saw the "Never Say Die" (1980 ?) Vinyl LP at our Bible Bookstore in San Diego. It was a revelation that a Christian God honoring band could hold its own with the Journey, Van Halen, Styx & other secular greats. As a young Christian I was HUNGRY for Truth & knew in my heart these secular bands - though talented - weren't pointing me towards the light, not consistently - but more often towards the dark side of "being my own god". In time I became more "in tune" with God's priorities & left the secular stuff behind. There's actually LOTS of great Christian Rock & Pop if you dig for it. 3 names, Daniel Band (Canada hard rock FABULOUS stuff) "Run from the Darkness" fav CD Jon Gibson - Urban blue eyed Soul - simply awesome - best into song: "God Loves a Broken Heart" Steve Taylor - CCMs hilarious prophet - nuanced & deep. "Meltdown" / "Jim Morrison's Grave" best 2 into songs. Seventy - Sevens "Sticks & Stones " album is an absolute Alt Rock gem - class act band. Godspeed to you - David in Texas

I started listening to them 30 years ago and have all of their albums. They are an inspiration to my life. Praise the lord for having them spread the message of Jesus Christ our LORD. Amen

I've been listening to Petra since the mid 1980s. I grew up in a Christian home so was not allowed to listen to secular music. My parents did allow some Christian rock and thankfully Petra was on the approved list. They are my biggest music influence and listening back they not only rock for the Rock of Ages but their songs are scripturally solid.

there is no christian band, i repeat no christian band that could if they wanted, play their own hits for 8 hours straight, except Petra. They are the only one whose work is so compelling, that they would get away with it..
