I have bought a Knightwick 2 during the winter (on sale) but not had the chance to use it yet. I was impressed with the spec and space for the money and the fact that the porch area gives somewhere to cook, sit and read if the weather is wet.

I purchased one of these bags and i was really impressed with how its made and the comfort of the pack really surprised me but i found it to small after i got home my sleeping bag wouldn't fit in the lower compartment and my 58 pattern water bottles wouldn't fit in the pockets either so i had to purchase the 70 ltr easyfit from decathlon for the price the nepal rucksack is a real bargain but unfortunately not suitable for me

When packing the '58 pattern bag, start by facing the bag from the foot end, gather into the centre and roll up the bag closely and you will find that it fits into the hood quite easily. A liner and bivvi bag are also available, I have all 3 plus a poncho. As for the "jungle" bag, it is designed to fit into the winter bag and should also come with a liner. The bag liners are designed to keep the inners of the bags cleaned.

There supposed to be used flat side up so a mess tin sits on it cleanely and the rounded spikes reduce heat transfer to the ground

Pattern 58 got ditched for the first bag as didn’t get wet as quick and dried with body heat

The first bag should have pockets on the inside and used with your bivvy bag. Stuff sack never spent a night in the field

Does the pole extend? I only ask as if it does you can move the base of the pole out towards a corner so that its at an angle and extend it to make up the extra length needed. My helsport tipi does this and it makes it much more usable without the pole in the middle. Is there a hook or loop on the outside of the top that you could use to suspend it from a tree branch above? 🙂

The loki has a big problem. It is hardly usable due to severe smoke development. I only use thin dry wood. Pine, oak, beech, ist even. I'm disappointed.
