If you covered part or all of with solar panels you can generate electricity while reducing evaporation. In addition the water would keep the panels cooler which would increase their efficiency. Just an idea.

Firstly, what's with the stupid loud music ffs!!?? Dumb producer. This could be a great initiative if only they can save some of the massive water loss from evaporation. It will be a huge loss. However, there are ways to alleviate the loss. Give me a bell.

If you need to disrupt the natural flow of any water, you’ve &ucked up somewhere along the line. My guess is there’s too many people requiring more resources than nature can provide? If so, fix the human error, stop trying to milk more from nature.

What a massive effort. I wonder if the various extraction methods ever stop/start depending on the price of gold (presumably some of the extraction methods cost more/less per ounce)? Or is the price of gold always high enough for it to be worth running the operation always at full steam ahead of time

Thanks for the video, it is really interesting to see. Sorry to be a pedant though but 1m is almost 3.3 feet which makes a big difference to a structure that size!
Stockpiling water to sell back to farmers in drought is beyond immoral, it is evil it's villainous.

Yeah, it takes a genius to build a shallow, open air pond in a State that gets regular high temperatures. Next project - build a pipeline to carry water from Victoria so you can keep it topped up 😂😂😂

Arr yes more "flood" water storage. Seems like ir has been going grear for the environment. I wonder who wil own the water. I get that in theory it works but time as shown when water is used as a commodity and is unregulated due to compromised government it just becomes a massive failure for the environment and the farmers up stream. I doubt any one could say with confidence thar this reservior wont be stealing water and wont have a negative impact on the environment. I get that environment damage but enough has already been done. For food i could deal with, for cotton its a joke.
