My BF and i were working on my Subaru one day, and when i was putting the tires back on.. i asked him how many uggaduggas i should do. He immediately stopped me, told me to grab his torque wrench, set it to 85lbs and THEN I'll know. Now with my new Hyundai, after he was putting the tires back on.. i grabbed the torque wrench, asked him where to set it, and he told me to put it back, and grab his air gun. Only needs about 2 or 3 uggaduggas. I've learned so much from him lmao

Nowadays things are built with very specific tolerances. That's why performance got better.
@brandoncaldwell952 жыл бұрын
@@mooker93 no matter what, an engine looses HP over age. Also, the older lesser HP stuff is more reliable than the new "efficient" and "performance". Unless you're building a high HP engine for drag racing, forget it. Only ever used a torque wrench once in my life and it was on a lawnmower for in/lbs for the valves.

Being a diesel mechanic we actually have a 3/4 inch air impact that you can set your torque to manually and it will torque to that exact number.. I’ve tested it against my snap on digital torque wrench in the past at different torques and it’s always right on the money.. and that impact is probably 30 years old
