I was busking the Santa Monica Pier in 1993 and this man sits behind me drumming on a bible. He told me he was the drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd and the way he made that book sound like a drum was a Miracle I know it was Bob Burns nicest guy you could ever meet Rest in Power

The opening alone is enough action for the whole cartoon! ❤The opening is so dang beautiful and over the top. I miss my childhood sooooooo much. And the 1990's version of Jonny Quest also had an amazing opening too!

Bob wanted to just Jam and play the songs but not concentrate on doing it exactly the same way Every time. It's a musician thing. I know because that's my life too. The greats never played it the same way each time. The structure was there yes. Examples, Allman Brothers, Hendricks, Carlos, Elvis, etc.

I’m 70 Watching that cartoon made us feel like adults. It was a serious cartoon. Certainly a departure from the other Styles of cartoons of the time there was an air of importance about it, and the music was very sophisticated. Imagine designing a show that sophisticated with your demographic being 6 to 13 years old. WOW! When culture and education were king.

I Loved watching Johnny Quest when it debuted in 1964 for only one season with 26 episodes. The show was canceled not due to low ratings but the production costs were too high.I have the original series on DVD but they made their money back in syndication which was the dumbest move putting them in the same category as Star Trek!

I was a real life Race Bannan. His influence prompted me to become a professional pilot and high-profile body guard. Was an amazing career. Thank you Race.

Max is now showing the series. At 64 I love it as much as I did as a kid! Now, it's even more camp and and the soundtrack is classic.

I thought at that time, and still do now, that Johnny Quest, played by Johnny Quest, was the most convincing actor of the bunch. The rest of the cast were second rate contract players. I wonder if Johnny ever got it on with that chick from Scooby Doo...I mean the hot one, not the chubby, short haired one. They would have had good looking kids who would also have made great actors. Hey, maybe they became the cast for The Smurfs. Life is crazy.
