Thanks for creating a video about this subject which is not so known for people starting out (and much easier). Agree on having an alt or buddie help you out. Disagree on what is stated by playing solo. You can just end the anomaly in a normal way and get it off radar. The rules are as following. 1) Have your mining ship placed before hand in a station the system where the lookout is. If you leave the system after popping the lookout, the site will be permanently gone! So this is mostly the annoying part but I have several mining ships close by at intervals just to clear this site.. 2) Clear the site with a ship of your choice. Sure you can use a mining ship, to clear the site with drones but leaves it open for people to take a look and annoy you. Or pop your nice lill MTU. 3) Make sure you bookmarked the site or one of the rooms (as it is off radar). 4) Go off site to the station where your mining ship is and swap your ship. Return within say 2,5 - 3 minutes to the bookmarked spot and the site will be there. I say that this is the tricky part because when using a barge the time span for aligning, warping etc might be just a tad too long. A venture is never a problem. Did this plenty of times with succes. 5) Go to the entrance and mine yourself silly. Yup will take long to clear and besides using MTU;'s (which makes yourself gankable) you can use either jetcan mining and pick it up later with a transport ship or ship the stuff out to a station. If you do the latter then if the site is within 2 hours after popping the 2,5-3 minutes still apply. If it is longer then 2 hours, leaving the site will despawn when you leave it within 1 minute. So a lot of choices to be made here. All depended on how many people around and the risk you want to take. As stated by @timosarpola7389, yup the 'rogue drone asteroid infestation' is a similar but easier site with only omber. But it only allows for frigates. So venture and endurance are max. While lookout can use barges and porpoise for boosting. Another thing to point out is that if you are in a busy system or a system which has been invaded by pirates (so beltmining not possible) you can always use pve combat sites for getting the lower kind of ores without anyone bothering you. This video was geared towards getting the lowsec/nullsec ore in a lowrisk manner. Thats why I state this. As a bonus. When downtime is on a convenient time, close by and you did not pop the 'rogue drone asteroid infestation' site, it will respawn the first two chambers and the omber is back that you farmed earlier. This is not so for the lookout . Seems they nerfed it recently.

That is some interesting insight about the solo mining lookouts. I myself dont really like jetcan mining or dropping ore into mtu as it takes just one guy to pop it all just to try suspect baiting, but yeah, the method you written down sounds very good.

A Tornado can do 9,500 damage. Not all the time, buts its possible. Your Sunesis is just under the alpha damage of a Tornado. The Sunesis I use is sub 2s align and has 16,351 EHP. I do not recommend putting cargo expanders on a ship that is on gankers' target list. Cargo expanders lower the EHP of a ship. Watch a youtube on ganking by MacGybo. He talks about ships he ganks and what they should have done. He is especially critical of cargo expanders.
@GildiiAuscent
@GildiiAuscent 26 күн бұрын
Yeah, but you will rarely be in optimal range of a nado that does this damage, no? So you are working in lowered damage by falloff, unpess that number is in falloff already with a nado of higher alpha. I do agree that getting better tank will be good for this, especially with a shiels extender increasing the sig radius. I altered the fit in the eve workbench for a tankier one to be sure people don't get randomly clapped.

One thing I like to do is make my own solo fleet. Prevents any fleet invites, without messing up the settings for when I might actually want to accept a fleet invite. It can also help if you hate the distractions of chats, as it gives you a new, clean chat window that doesn't get spammed unless you yourself do it. As for the kill rights - those things are AWESOME!!!... if you already like to do suspect baiting at least... >:3 But yeah - probably don't want to have one available if you're looking to fly anything expensive near Jita. As far as the session change mechanic goes - meh. It's a bit niche, and only feels to be useful under rather specific conditions. I find it rather pointless to worry about, when many more people fall prey to the regular suspect, aggression and limited engagement timers.

@@GildiiAuscent I mean, it's not exactly a well explained mechanic anywhere ingame. I know decade old players who don't know about it because they were told to turn off fleet invites years ago, but never told why. But EVE loves their halfassed mechanics so here we are.
@GildiiAuscent
@GildiiAuscent 27 күн бұрын
Of course, there is a lot of that, but they do need to balance it around players crying from both sides, and fleet invite baiting is done in ns as well quite a bit on roams. I can't spam change ship, or undock/dock/undock, or make repeated jumps as all of those put load on the server and database, and the SCT prevents you from doing those things in a manner that produces a large load... But then you can spam fleet changes and reset the timer because... Like even Per CCP's own description of what the SCT is supposed to be doing... you'd think you'd be hard locked from changing fleet position until the timer has completely expired... but you can spam that shit... meanwhile I can't hop into station, change ship, and undock to be ready for a fight in under 30 seconds because SCTs block those actions.
