Ok, so that unit’s sound card has the range of tones needed to play the theme from _COPS._ Low-key, I want to learn how to make a unit that would take the incoming radar signal and send back the theme from _COPS._ Absolutely illegal I’m totally aware, like federally and locally, but imagine how cool and silly that would be? Is it illegal to do it in my garage? 🤔

How do you ever catch up to someone going 110mph? Most police cars nowadays pratically max out at around 140mph. You probably loose 30+ seconds from the time he passes you until you even match his speed and start to make gains on him.

Using a scatter radar like this one to clock planes landing or taking off at an airport just for the fun of seeing speeds up to 200+ ??? NOW THAT WOULD BE FREAKING AWESOME TO WATCH IN 2024 AND BEYOND!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝😎🛫🛬🛫🛬

Can’t imagine how low IQ you would have to be to think that sitting on the inside of a blind curve at night, no lights, on the edge of a highway could possibly be a good idea for anyone. What an absolute clown. You aren’t protecting or serving anyone, you’re a literal hazard to public safety and one car with a tire over the line is now all it takes to kill a family thanks to your genius plan to revenue for the town.

The key thing to remember here is the LEO has to articulate how he assessed your speed visually first. The radar is meant to verify their assessment. Your assessment can stand on its own as "to fast for conditions" or "reckless driving" if bad enough. The radar can not stand on it's own. You are using radar to pick out speeders and then you're trying to assess who the speeder is afterwards. As traffic is moving away from you and there are many vehicles it is very difficult to almost impossible to assess a vehicle speed visually. With this video I would have beat you in court because you are using radar improperly. You are sitting on the road letting the radar do the work. That is the complete opposite of the training you received and is lazy policing. Get out in traffic and visually observe traffic patterns to identify aggressive driving and distracted driving. Those are the real causes of auto wrecks so if your mission is to keep people safe prove it. If your mission is to generate revenue you're nailing it.

I was just on the interstate, and I was going 87mph on a 75 freeway. I didn’t see this state trooper because a semi truck was blocking me as we passed him, but I looked in my rear view, and he started moving and my heart dropped and he turned on his lights, but he didn’t come for me, he pulled over the semi truck. I almost feel guilty because I’m confident he clocked my speed and went after the wrong guy. That semi truck was not speeding. So is this kind of mistake possible?

It’s not that complicated; your radar alerts you do a vehicle that is operating at an excessive speed and you look at the cars and the one that’s going faster than everybody else is the speeder. your butt hurt and response indicates that you get busted fairly frequently and your inability to figure out how it works indicates why.

@@HM2SGT True IF they set speed limits to the speed most people drive. Most of the traffic travels at 80-85mph around here and the limits are 70mph. Roads are designed to handle faster speeds on open interstate than what our politicians set them to. Driving the limit creates a safety hazard. People drive what they are comfortable driving, not what is printed on a sign.

Moving at a high rate of speed in a linear manner shouldn’t be enforced as much as weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed
