Wow I had no idea Spektrum made a good ESC and especially FBL. I am running Brain2/Ikon2 FBLs and Hobbywing ESCs. I do have a Goosky RS4 Venom with the Goosky GTS FBL. But I find the Brain2 to be smoother and it's way more powerful. However the GTS is very simple to setup and I like how to goes into bailout when you switch to normal mode. On Brain2 you have to assign a seperate toggle switch than your FM switch. That is impressive that you had to do zero tuning. How do you like this compared to other systems?
@bcr71462 ай бұрын
@@LichaelMewis thanks for watching. So the Spektrum avian series ESC’s are made by Hobbywing. They are mainly beneficial when running with Spektrum NX and iX radios. All the telemetry and programming is right off your transmitter as well as the FBL system. Super easy setup. I’ve switched all of my FBL systems over to the fc6250hx systems. I’m running 6 of them and totally happy with the performance. With the Spektrum radio the convenience is awesome. I can land on the field, go into setup and do any changes I want and take right back off again without plugging in. No laptop or phone apps needed. Bailout/stability mode can be configured on a separate switch or on the flight switch. It’s all just preference

Oh! Interesting! Nice to see this, because i actually was thinking about similar idea, i wanted to put 180mm blades on 150S heli to get more light heli. I look for a big enough machine which can handle crashes well, to practice my 3d tricks. So would you say that this option is still more durable than Fusion 180 or 230S?
@bcr71464 ай бұрын
The infusion 180 as well as fusion 180 helicopters are not as durable as the 150s. The 150 is a great flying heli. If you want to step up from the 150 to a larger machine I definitely recommend Goosky S2. Very strong machine and it flies more precise so your able to learn your maneuvers without have to do a lot of corrections to compensate for the inefficiencies of the heli. Parts are cheaper too.
@cutefoxRC4 ай бұрын
@@bcr7146 Good to hear that 150S is a good model :) i already have a micro 100mm which i stretched to 120mm and even to 130mm by putting a custom made gear. I also have a big heli T-Rex 500X with 470mm blades but i would not dare to risk and try new maneuvres on it haha. So i thought for something between. Yes i just recently saw your Goosky 2 video where you were crashing it into some rough surface like 4 times, wow, i was amazed how it did not break parts, crazy. Then i checked for parts in shop and was shocked by price too, saw like 2-3 EUR for a set of feathering shafts, wtf, very cheap indeed! It is all attractive but sadly i can't pick a Goosky model because i prefer the old style with main gear, those direct drive helis weight much heavier, i enjoy low RPM so i need to go with a light heli.

Ok then the power goes into the only port left correct, and what about the governor? or do I need one im running a flat throttle curve @@bcr7146
@bcr71469 ай бұрын
If you have the latest software update you can use the governor function in the 6250hx. If your not running governor than you should have a throttle curve and not flat. Governor uses a flat throttle percentage and does the adjustment to maintain that rpm. Without governor you need to give it a curve to help compensate for load on the engine so for example your curve would look somewhat like a V shape. I wasn’t running governor function on that heli just a curve

Not sure what’s going on with ‘55 Nomad pricing right now. On the web there are usual custom ones for sale at anywhere from $100K to $250K. The thing that confuses me is the ones I see on various web selling sites that are complete, painted running cars BUT they’re down around the $20K price range. I’ve looked at 5 of these recently where either the husband had passed or the person selling is dealing with the estate of the car owner.

What sensor do you use and are you plugging into Port 1? Any mods needed? How does the unit calibrate the gov with nitro or gas? Thanks again
@jiawenbao3698 Жыл бұрын
The only thing I disagree is the elevator d gain. To get the locked in feeling you actually want to maximize the d gain and then maximize the P and I gain. I don’t know the control logic exactly but if high D gain gives a very slow feeling maybe there’s a setting similar to vbar’s paddle sim that boosts the input.

@@LichaelMewis I always tell every new pilot to rest finger behind that throttle hold and learn to use it till it’s a habit. It will save you lots of parts. Pulling the throttle stick down is only for landing . If your going to crash hit throttle hold because pulling the stick down to shut it off also adds negative pitch and slams it.
