No need imo, just do a transmission fluid flush after the job. Since it's a manual transmission the fluid is just sitting there and not under high pressure going through small passages like in an automatic. Magnetic drain pan bolt would help also.

When the transmission is removed and the gearshift lever is no longer on it, you have to use a lot of force to engage reverse gear. Otherwise something is broken or blocked

Hi, i'm not sure if you can do it this way. In my case i code the start/clutch signal in the ecu out, so you can start the car without pressing the clutch pedal . I hope i can help you

@@TorquebrosDriftTeam did you notice if your front to back shifter play improved with this? My selector rod (not the joint) has some play, I can see it go in and out and all the shifter bushings are solid.

Hi, you can use the same flywheel and the gearbox bolts. In my case i leave the clutch and the press plate too, but the clutch pedal its to hard to press, in future i must chance this too from e factory 330i or something similar

Thxs, the cost its depending how good or bad you engine is, in our case we don't need external work like planing the block and the head or oversize pistons for example. A Maschine Shop will take round about 5000 or 6000 euros in switzerland for this work. All another things you need like new gaskets and replacement parts ( oilpump, waterpump, etc. ) you will be round about 3000 euros. We never make a swap in a e30 but i see pictures and i wil say its posible but i think you will be make several adjustment to fit the engine and the drivetrain.

Bro byo. Taking a motor out of a rwd is immensely easy compared to awd & fwd, i couldnt even tell you how much. And working on a combustion engine is also easy especially the old ones.
