I am shocked that women of today pick the1950's "housewife" you women need to do much better research, 1950's was the WORST decade, you wore red lip stick in the 40's it wasn't for "primping" but to show soldiers your support. Many women of today get info ( those magazines and books) which usually was tossed. I know many women that were wives then and have said they wouldn't return to that decade if you paid them.

I like the layout that you have in your dining room with the china cabinet at the end in the larger space and the living room being in the small section for more conversational space. One suggestion for you corner shelves. Instead of painting white try peel and stick wallpaper in a solid color or subtle pattern. You seem to have a lot of ghosts and snowmen that won’t stand out against the white.

If you are looking for a more aseptically pleasing way to store items under the desk that won't break the bank, buy some banker boxes and cute contact paper. Cover the boxes in contact paper and you have a nice decorative box. I did that for storage in the top of my closet and I was really pleased with the way it turned out. I love seeing before and after videos. Very gratifying to the transformation.

I'm really enjoying this channel. I love the transformation of the cabinet, and I'm going to keep my eyes open for sensibly priced furniture pieces with potential. The framed verse is really pretty, as well as encouraging. :)
