So sorry. I just noticed this comment. The stand is Suchek Black Tablet Stand. I have a couple of them. Purchased them for my iPad, but work ok for this larger monitor. Fold up small for travel

My tools of choice have changed since I created this video. I still use Affinity Photo when I need the Inpainting tool, compositing and extensive layering, image stacking etc…, however I have abandoned the Adobe applications. As soon as it was released in 2020, I purchased the new Apple MacMini M1 (Silicone), and decided to rebuild my workflow setup with new applications. To replace Lightroom for organizing my hard drives and handling the majority of my post processing, I found an M1 compliant application called Exposure x6. With the hundreds of thousands of image files on my main 16TB hard drive, I find the Exposure x6 method of working directly from my file structure, compared to Lightroom’s Catalogue system - to work exceeding well, and thumbnail previews load much more quickly and allow me to start working on a file even before all previews are loaded. The use of sidecar files to store processing data for non-destructive editing, suites me fine. The three applications that I use for editing from within Exposure x6 (same way that I used Affinity Photo from within Lightroom) - are Affinity Photo, Topaz Denoise, and Topaz Sharpen AI. Nothing else needed for me.

I can't see why you go back and forth between Lightroom and Affinity Photo when everything can be done from start to finish (not just inpainting) in Affinity Photo
@RobertWatcher
@RobertWatcher 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your thoughts. You are correct that the work can be accomplished solely in Affinity Photo. The reason I edited from within Lightroom (I now use Exposure 6), has to do with my using those applications for organizing my collection of images. Affinity Photo is not designed for that purpose. The way that I have demonstrated in this video, allows me to have the alterations to the copies image, show up right back in the Catalogue/Folder where I can continue to process and manage the file. Just my preferred way of workflow.

Hey Robert, this bird video is great. I get a woodpecker in my backyard some times, but it digs holes in the electric pole; looks so much better in an actual tree! Love hearing the knocking too, :-D It's great! AH! FInally spring! :-) Maggie

I used this to add Affinity Photo and it worked for a while, but since about 2 updates ago when I try to open it i only get some message saying help/ Show this message - extract/ Create MSI for silent installation. It will create a duplicate image in TIFF format but not open it in Affinity Photo. Is anyone having trouble with this or am I the only one?

Robert Watcher, yoiu wrote: "Anne and I actually found the reserve to be a little uninteresting - and there are certainly better locations to visit in the wild." Maybe that's because Zoo Ave is not intended to be for your and Anne's entertainment, but for the rehabilitation and care of animals who are the victims of animal cruelty. The public is invited to certain areas for the purpose of EDUCATING, not entertaining, the public about the heinous results animal cruelty and torture of animals that should not have been household pets at all. The animals at Zoo Ave are not there to entertain. They are there to survive. Most of the animals that the public sees are animals that cannot be released back into the wild because of the nature of cruelty and/or torture that was inflicted upon them by humans--if you can even call such people human. Did you even research Zoo Ave before going there? Were you looking to actually learn something about the wildlife of Costa Rica, or at Zoo Ave, or were you just looking to be entertained and awe-stricken? What one takes away from Zoo Ave--or anywhere, for that matter--depends on one's attitude going in. Gracia, the toucan with the prosthetic upper beak, is a stark testimony of humans' capacity for cruelty toward animals; but at the same time, she is a glowing testimony of human beings' capacity for love and compassion, and to the love and care given by the Zoo Ave staff to the animals who come to be in their care. When the Creator made the first humans, he charged them with taking care of the earth and the animals with whom we share this planet. Zoo Ave is trying, in its unique way, to get that point across to those who visit them. Zoo Ave's reason for being, and the work that they do are, to me, VERY interesting. Perhaps if you look at Zoo Ave from a different perspective from merely a source of entertainment for humans, you will find it more interesting.
