I thought I had a problem with my zx10, the “long starting” but it’s only a little longer than the brand new startup lol not nearly that bad

I did something very similar (just prior to covid). My battery was good enough to run through the night most of the time. I just added a timer and pulsed the water / nutrient for 10 or 20 minutes and hour every hour or two at night. It was very rewarding.

My first attempt of growing lettuce was very successful, planted 6 iceberg and 5 grew to harvest. I left some leaves when I harvested and it continued to grow but blotted waiting for flowers now for next year's seed.

New to growing lettuce and I’m in Texas. It’s gotten hot super fast this year , already over 100 F. My lettuce is bolting. Thank you for showing examples. Appreciate it!

Black bags not the best for lettuce in socal sun, heat and dryness. Despite potentially reading full sun on seed packs, lettuce and basil are often better sheilded by larger plants in socal. Early sun is good, midday sun not so much. The plants with darker leaves especially. Ive seen many say 80 degrees tops but 90ish can work without bolting if you limit sun and retain enough moisture. Maybe higher but not when it can potentially get to around 115-120f. In that type of sun, its time to cover just about everything. A shade when temps hit 102 ish is a good idea for most plants in socal though probably too much for lettuce. So Cal, unlike many southern places doesn't get much in the way of weather and thus very little cloud cover. Let them go to seed, breed the most resistant plants and maybe over time, if genetic diversity allows, you'll have something more tolerant. Or move hydro inside and grow lettuce with ease.

Hey mate, just a question. My bike, honda cbr 600 rr 2004, is lately stalling in neutral at stops even clutched in and also while riding will lose power for a second or two or will jerk forward sometimes as I'm deccelerating. Do you have any idea what that might be? Thanks

Very creative! Slightly higher angle on your pipe will lower the water level and move water through the system. Would be cool to see zig zag back and forth with multiple pipes to see how many plants you could grow on one pump! Great electrical tutorial! Inspiring.

Super cool. I’d wonder though if your batteries might be sucking back and forth from each other killing themselves. Each battery would need to be exactly the same shape and voltage to be most efficient. My thought but awesome job!

I don’t understand, isn’t that low mileage. I have a 2016 ZX6R at 18,500 miles no valve check or adjustment yet. Running nicely. All other maintenance has been up to date and religiously done though because I’m able to do everything myself except for the valves.
@johnybrokeit Жыл бұрын
Very cool that u r able to do all the maintenance yourself. I've been trying to do so myself on my KTM Duke 390 2016. But I'm just starting off. A lot to learn. Another viewer mentioned on another video that his engine is heating up much more than usual and is noisier now, he feels it is cuz his values on the exhaust side are too tight. Went over my head so I'm here investigating the symptoms of valve clearances gone off. Did u have to touch your valves eventually? ...I believe u don't need to touch them till 40000km usually. Based on estimates I gathered from youtube, but maybe I forgot.

How does the system hold up in drought?
@rumo8932 жыл бұрын
Any hydroponics system will use 90-95% less water. There’s much less evaporation, mostly only from the plants themselves. The water goes back into the system and is pumped back to the top. The only problem is, as water evaporates the concentration of nutrients increases. So you need to regularly need to refill water if it’s very hot.
@Losbitiboys44414 жыл бұрын
Love that idea but in my opinion I mite be wrong but I think there is to much water in the tubes it should be just a little bit touching the net cups

We are having those same grey skies many days! The light is just different. It reminds me of how the light looks during an eclipse. My pepper plants look much the same. I just grew some tomato plants with hydroponics and transferred them into soil pots. I am curious to see if they will produce. My tomatoes I have had out have a few tomatoes, but not many. I am also all the way across the country from you. Interesting to see we are seeing the same issues in different grow zones.

I live in North Carolina and its Aug 28th 2019 and its so cold tonight, we will be in the lower 40s This weather is crazy here, and another strange thing here, we dont see any bugs ! we normally have tons of bugs this time of year. Our garden did not produce at all, we had a few okra and very little tomatoes . Its all gone mad here.

Higher food prices already agreed. By 2025 we could see food riots and perhaps even food on the black market due to skyrocketing prices. Mass starvation, depending on advances in technology and governmental funding, probably around 2035. Right in the middle of GSM 👍🏻

I get part of what you're saying but don't do the date setting and starvation mode thing. 2025? I stock and I prep but don't do the fear thing.
