No I does NOT have a sweet taste bro. It’s a fruit that is notoriously bad tasting, if you notice that it’s sweet, it’s not real noni juice. Also, every recommended dose of noni juice I’ve ever seen is 1 ounce and I live where the real stuff is made. It grows like a weed here. 12 ounces is waaaaaay to much for a juice because it is a diarrheatic in its concentrated form.

I made a tomato 'no tomato' sauce for pasta yesterday out carrots & beetroots - blended it. I know the 'eat to yours labs' direction these days, but tomotoes are just so high in potassium, it feels fool-hardy to me if you are in an advanced stage like 4 or 5 (& your potassium is just within range) to go eat a bowl of of pasta a couple of days a week with a tomato sauce - which unless you make it yourself will have not just crushed tomatoes, but tomato paste (very concentrated) & salt.... that's going to be very hard on those poor compromised kidneys in my opinion.

😮Healing and supporting kidney health involves a combination of lifestyle changes, dietary modifications, and natural remedies. Here's a comprehensive guide: *Lifestyle Changes:* 1. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water (at least 8-10 glasses/day). 2. Exercise regularly: Aim for 30 minutes of moderate exercise/day. 3. Manage stress: Practice yoga, meditation, or deep breathing. 4. Get enough sleep: 7-8 hours/night. 5. Quit smoking. 6. Limit exposure to toxins. *Dietary Modifications:* 1. Increase potassium-rich foods: leafy greens, fruits, legumes. 2. Eat kidney-friendly proteins: fish, poultry, plant-based options. 3. Limit sodium: <2,300 mg/day. 4. Reduce phosphorus: limit processed foods, dairy, meat. 5. Avoid oxalate-rich foods: spinach, beets, rhubarb. 6. Incorporate kidney-cleansing foods: - Cranberries - Blueberries - Grapes - Apples *Natural Remedies:* 1. Herbal teas: - Dandelion root - Juniper berries - Ginger - Turmeric 2. Supplements: - Omega-3 fatty acids - Vitamin D - Magnesium - Potassium 3. Ayurvedic herbs: - Triphala - Gokshura - Punarnava *Medical Treatments:* Consult your doctor before starting any new therapies. 1. Medications for underlying conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes). 2. Dialysis (if necessary). 3. Kidney transplantation (if necessary). *Important:* 1. Consult your healthcare provider before making significant changes. 2. Monitor kidney function regularly. 3. Address underlying conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension). Some recommended books: 1. "The Kidney Disease Solution" by Duncan Capicchiano 2. "Healing Kidney Disease" by Dr. Fuad Ahamed 3. "The Natural Kidney Disease Treatment" by Dr. Robert Thompson Online resources: 1. National Kidney Foundation (NKF) 2. American Kidney Fund (AKF) 3. Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) Remember, consult your healthcare provider before starting any new therapies or making significant changes. Would you like: 1. More information on specific herbs or supplements? 2. Kidney-friendly recipes? 3. Stress management techniques? Let me know!

Really good tips. I recently got tested and my BUN was 30 with normal creatinine. I am a healthy/active person with high protein intake. Now I want to learn more about how the microbiome/probiotics help with Ammonia/Urea. I find a bit concerning when I hear doctors advising to go low protein, avoiding red meat, and go to plant-based proteins. There are so many flaws with this and my gut is telling me this advice is doing more harm than good for overall health. Perhaps its more drastic for people with kidney disease. For mostly healthy individuals without kidney disease who eat high quality protein and watch their sugar/carb intake, I find it hard to believe lowering protein intake is the right answer. Not to mention the high BUN may have been more of a result of under-recovery/under-hydration.

IF someone does eat a food with higher sodium content, is it okay short term as long as you drink more water (only water by the way not coffee, tea, etc) I ask because I’m a kidney/pancreas transplant recipient and I live in the area affected by hurricane Helene, thus we only have access right now to packaged and canned foods 🥺nothing fresh. But thankfully MUCH BOTTLED SPRING WATER
@USA-freedom6 күн бұрын
I have grade 4 kidney disease. Count your blessings you were so fortunate to have gotten those transplants. You have to think of the kidney you have been given as not a forever kidney. You seen you have that understood. It's not just the salt but the added preservatives you have to try an avoid too. Canned labels on foods the salt can very a lot from one another. Drain the vegetables then add just water to cook in. Than only eat the vegetables and not the water they were cooked in. Canned soup? Heat the soup then drain all the liquid out and eat it like that. This will also remove most of the fat also something else you should be trying to avoid. Look for canned chicken and/or tuna in water with no salt added. Same with either of these two choices if salted. Drain both then place into a bowl of water and leave sit for a few minutes to remove much of the salt from both of them before using. Then drain again. If possible try letting the people supplying you with food what's best for your needs. Always drink plenty of water to help flush out your system. Praying you make it through this okay.

I don't understand the bicep flex at the end. I'm CKD IIIb. I weight train 3 times a week. Six weeks ago I got rhabdo and now both biceps are wrecked. MRIs are booked for later this month but, per my orthopedist, it looks like bilateral distal bicep ruptures.

on a keto diet, especially with less carbs, you need to take in a lot of water with electrolytes because when you are in ketosis, your urine is always foamy. With high carb diet, which is normally not good, you will have no foamy urine. High protein diet, you are likely to have foamy urine so drink a lot of water
