Great basic track. Makes you realize what Mick Taylor added...later when he adds his electric guitar it sends the song into the upper stratosphere

In 1987 a friend gave me a copy of a copy of a cassette that I listened to for years. I thought the entire Trident Demo’s could have been Exile part II. In those pre-internet days I thought it was Exile-ish but it turned out to be from 1969. Man…what a band/year. Trident Demos - 1969 A1 Travelin' Man 5:59 A2 Instrumental 3:26 A3 Jiving Sister Fanny 3:20 A4 Stuck Out All Alone 3:16 A5 Instrumental 2:46 A6 Going Down 2:58 B1 Red Blood Wine 5:18 B2 Instrumental 4:11 B3 Downtown Lucy 3:48 B4 Save Me 3:50 B5 Instrumental 5:27 C1 Family 3:43 C2 Two Train Blues 9:55 C3 Instrumental 4:23 C4 Walking Thru The Sleepy City 2:46 D1 See I Love You 3:51 D2 Instrumental 3:41 D3 Memo From Turner 2:39 D4 I Don't Know Why 2:05 D5 Too Many Cooks 3:42 D6 Family

Mick Taylor taught the Rolling Stones how to play rock and roll. He taught them the groove.

I'm a great MT fan - but for the groove - that they had already before him. Just listen to the first four albums - the groove is the thing they noticed, appreciated and practiced right from the beginning. As I see (hear) it - the groove is the special strength and focus of KR. What MT brought into the soup was the smooth (rough when required) and innovative melodic leads.

I'm guessing a Mercury Lounge (NYC) show, maybe? Julian's able to jump right down off the stage. Mercury;'s stage (and ceiling) was pretty low...

I don’t know- just a guess. Just like Criss Cross Man, Mick Taylor was due a writing credit, so rather than share the wealth, don’t release it.

She sang incredible, danced excellent and also designed clothes for herself and her classmates. Not to mention that she also designed the covers of her albums. A perfect artist.😊

Wild Horses recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio 3416 Jackson Highway just down a bit from where I live - Have been there many times over the years - Such incredible history of tracks cut by many famous artists in that tiny studio - It's like walking into a time capsule - If you ever have the chance to visit and tour, you won't regret it - People travel from all over the world to this little town on North Alabama to experience the vibe of rock history...

Thanks for posting. Wow, great to hear something from the Stones that I didn't even know was out there. Long time Stones fan. In fact, first 45 record I ever bought with my own money was in '65 when the Stones released "Satisfaction". I was 15 then. So much I could say, don't even know where to start, except to repeat the ultimate truth: "The Greatest Rock n Roll Band in the World". As someone else wrote, feel that the Mick Taylor era may have been their peak but don't believe it was necessarily because Mick Taylor was in the band. I would say their playing and songwriting was at its best and most consistent then, producing the Big Three: Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street. There are albums before and after that have glimpses of their genius but those three stand above the others.
