That was so peaceful. So sorry.

Just came across this video today and it made me cry as I'm sat in my car waiting to go into work. I had to have me sweet 17 year old girl put down due to cancer during COVID so i wasn't allowed in. Still breaks me now, the thought of her alone in her final moments. We had her as a rescue from about 19 weeks old and she was the sweetest, most loving, thicker than a whales 🐋 foreskin cat that snored loud enough to wake you and made you her bed for the day. Loved how she would greet me when I got home from school and then work. Tail in the air, little chirp and then falling asleep on me. Miss you Megan, you daft old lump 😢

We know that it is 12 years later, however, we are so sorry for your loss. It is okay for anybody to grieve a loss, even if they are an adult. We, too, had a cat (Who reslly did look a whole lot like your cat) for 18.5 years who had to be put down because she was very sick. We watched reruns of "I Love Lucy" after she passed away because we couldn't watch anything that was serious then.❤😥❤😥

I know how you feel i had to put my boy to sleep my heart breaks for you 💔 but they wouldn't want us to be sad i believe that they comeback and check on us and they wait for the day when we can be together again

This brought me to tears 😭 I’ll cherish every second I spend around my cats, they are some of the best companions humans could ever have.

Oh man, for you this was 11 years ago. I just lost my precious Dusty Rose. It’s just an unreal situation, so hard to square in my head. I’ve not been able to take down her various cat beds, or anything. In short, I’m a wreck. I hope you have other cats in your life. They can never replace the loss, but they bring new love. This was hard to watch, but helped me open my shell and grieve. Thank you for that. God bless

June 2024. 60 year old guy here. My heart is shattered for you. I lost my tuxie boy Oreo in November of '23 to cancer. He was only 4 1/2 years old. We sent him on ahead at the vet. He slipped away in my arms. I cried so loud and long they called the EMTs to make sure I was ok.

Im just lost mine, named Gummy, today after fighting on and off of FIP for a year. Also her progression became worse after took some meds and supplements.. i was sobbing so hard outside of the clinic. In my head, i could treat and care for her better... but unfortunately, i dont have much time for her as im working 14 hours a day... she will die slowly if i dont do this.. Im just glad she wasnt hurting anymore. Love you baby Gummy, you'll always in my heart ❤

Here I sit in the UK, a 57 year old man with a near 21 year old Queen cat. (Born August 4th 2003) I know its not going to be long, she's very skinny, is nearly blind and deaf. She still eats and gets to the litter tray no problem, she is also very unsteady when walking. I got her at 4 weeks old, she was found in a bag with 4 other siblings, 2 of them dead, she could fit in the palm of my hand she was that tiny. She was jet Black and so slender her whole adult life, she has never hissed, scratched or bitten anyone, nor has she ever scratched anything in the house. She would always get under the bed covers and lay on my chest for a while until she got too hot. She stopped doing that just over a year ago. I know this is going to break me when it happens. My only hope is that she dies peacefully in her sleep so I don't have to go through what you have.

Very belated condolences to you. There is certainly nothing wrong with crying about your pet. They are a member of the family. I've cried like a baby at the death of each of the 4 cats my family & I have had during the course of my life. The last was my beloved Abby, on July 23rd 2021, after a blood clot the day before in her lower back left her paralyzed, with 24 hours of vet care unable to help her. I had to make the only decision I could make, and have her euthanized. Yes, sobbing like a baby as I was with her to the end, and teary-eyed now typing this. I made a youtube video tribute to her too, on her own channel. The only video I've ever posted there. We all grieve along, yet we all grieve together. 😿😭

I just put down my cat “Harley”! He lived to be 18.5 years! I spend one final day with him, walked him through every room in our house. I told him that this was always his home and just how much I loved him! Harley’s body was beginning to shut down and it was time to say goodbye. He was sleeping all day, not eating, and having a very hard time going to the litter box! It was the hardest thing I had to do in my life! My wife and I both cried and were with him during his passing! I grieve for your cat as well! You are a very kind hearted man!

i am watching this, and in not even 24 Hours my Bowie has his last appointment with the vet, she’ll come to my home. even though it is probably the best for him -bowel tumor, very thin, stiff limps, nausea and signs of pain and tiredness - it still breaks my heart like hardly anything before. its so unfair, he is just 8 or 9 years and i am so afraid of that Bowie-shaped hole in my home😥when i clicked on this video and heard the Tori Song, i just lost it😭i feel your pain so much right now. i can’t understand how someone can not see, that they matter, as much as any other family member, in a way even more, because we are their “parents”, caretakers. I know it’s been a while and i hope the pain will sting less with time, for both of us

I couldnt watch it. I lost my cat Peaches over 1 yr ago. It was the most hardest thing ...like losing my mom who died in2017..All i had was my mom and Peaches. I cried and cried..one night like many i cried and wailed outloud.The Holy Spirit talked to my mind..and said" You did everything for Peaches" God is real. And He loves His Creation. >^^<

I am about to have to make the choice to put my cat down that I have had for 17 years, Jazmine…She will be the 8th one I have had to make the ultimate quality of life choice for. She has stopped eating and is spending her time with her mate Rocco…They have been together for 17 years…Vets say the hardest thing is when they see in the animals last moments before they close their eyes looking for their love ones and they are not there. You did the right thing. I cry every time I have had to do this and it just gets harder each time. Sorry for you loss

I lost my baby boy and companion, Nucci, five days ago. He was FIV positive and lived to be 14 years and three months. The grief is tremendous and indescribable. I knew it was coming and tried to prepare myself but I still wasn’t prepared. I miss him so much. I feel like a part of me has been yanked away. “Please, please come back,” my heart cries but I know it’s impossible. There’s no way out of this one.

I own a beautiful siamese princess that is currently purring on my lap. She follows me everywhere. When I go to the bathroom to do my business she always comes after me and just has to lay on my lap. When I come home she always comes to greet me, like every time. Doesn't matter if she was in the middle of a good long nap she comes no matter what. She can be a pain in the ass but despite that I still love her so very much. I got her when she was just a kitten, now she's 5. I'm not ready for the day when she passes away. Luckily that's still a long way from now. When it comes I'll lose a big part of my life and will probably cry for a year 🥺😔

Had many cats passed away since my childhood, and even few years back, I lost one when hugging it. I never get used to it. Tears kept on flowing ... Just saw this video, and it gave moist to my eyes. You're a good hearted man ... bless you.
