Sorry but plastic cups in FC is not FC service although since US FC service sucks I guess you could say you were lucky to get something to drink before taxiing!!!!! Your meal was more coach than FC but again, that must be the US version of FC food but then I guess I am a bit biased as I got to fly at a time when FC food was considered top notch and the comparison just wasn't there at this time.

Nice and fair review! We enjoy United first class about 4 times a year, but find Delta first class to be a tad better. Great review!
@eljefemaximo542026 күн бұрын
Those 757s are starting to show their age. The last one I flew on was delayed due to maintenance issues. The flight attendant said this is common with 757s. Boeing never should have stopped manufacturing them. Because they're trying to turn a 737 into them and it's not working.

Looks good Freddie! This is first class? Looks more premium economy...
@FredwardFliesАй бұрын
It's US domestic first class, which is comparable to long-haul premium economy. The seats are very similar as far as dimensions go. These style of seats are also seen in "business class" on short-to-medium haul in some parts of the world, such as Airlink (South Africa) who also features big recliner seats but markets it as business class. I have a video on them too.

Just one quick correction. As far as I can tell, Delta does not offer free wifi to *all* customers, only to skymiles members.
@FredwardFliesАй бұрын
You are correct about that. Only reason I said it that way is because being a SkyMiles member is free and you can sign up with you sign in for wifi, removing pretty much any barrier to free wifi. But you are correct.

To be honest, I'd hardly consider United's MAX first class anything special, yeah its a really good product compared to economy but other transcontinental flights have full business class seats for the same price.
@jermainehill28917 күн бұрын
Domestic first class vs long haul is like apples to automobiles. No one even compares the two really.

@@jermainehill289 true but this route could’ve been operated by a narrowbody aircraft and have better seats… considering it’s transcontinental it deserves special treatment; JetBlues mint is an excellent example

Just a little FYI, the linked website you mention in the beginning of the video is NOT a website of United Airlines. The following description is from the website you linked. For the price, I find Polaris lacking honestly. Obviously it's miles better than premium plus, but its just not competitive to other airlines that charge the same price. As far as US airlines go, I guess they are #2 behind Delta One but worldwide not even top 15.
@devonsanchez82925 ай бұрын
Nice video mate! Darn, u slept thru the Polaris mid-flight snacks, their grilled cheese and tomato soup was the bomb! I had an extra serving of ice cream sundae. On some flights, the FAs would have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to go w our sundaes.

This was an excellent review. I particularly enjoyed the narration. At the beginning you said, "United's Polaris is one of the very best business class products in the United States." You also said that you have never flown in a lie-flat seat before. So how do you know that Polaris is one of the very best business class products in the United States?? I have flown 3.7 million miles on United, and I don't think they are one of the best business class products in the United States. These meals look horrible by international business class standards, and I was a little surprised to hear your overly effusive remarks about them. How do they justify serving the main meal on a single tray on a 14-hour flight? I'm glad you enjoyed this flight, though you seem pretty easy to please. Happy to subscribe to your channel.
@FredwardFlies5 ай бұрын
Haha yup, I'd consider myself pretty easy to please. My general sentiment was that there really wasn't anything more I could have needed, comfort-wise or food-wise. I certainly understand (from watching plenty of videos of other airlines) that better service exists elsewhere. And I certainly hope to try that one day. But I was very satisfied with this flight. Appreciate the kind words and the subscription!

You did a great job with this video. The timing, the narration, even the music ... top rate! My only issue is the food. There is no excuse for serving this food all on a single tray on a 14-hour flight. Some people may want to get right to sleep and thus east quickly, but there should be an option for a more elaborate meal service for those who want it (you certainly paid for it). Looking forward to more of your videos.
@FredwardFlies5 ай бұрын
I understand where you're coming from. And for a 16-hour flight there's certainly no rush. There's an element of elegance with a course-by-course meal that's hard to describe. My stance on that, as someone who was just happy to be there, was: If the worst thing about the meal was that it came too quickly, you did alright" Really appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!

Well done, video and I am happy you enjoyed the long trip. But I cannot agree with your conclusion that Polaris is state-of-the-art. It is really not, not even by US standards. And I am also willingfully excluding any product from the Middle Eastern bling bling glitzi glitzi airlines.
@FredwardFlies7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! As I have never flown any premium product at all over more than a few hours, everything about this was so cool to me so I didn't have a ton to compare it with. I certainly didn't feel like I needed more after this flight. But I know some products out there absolutely blow away the passenger experience and I can't wait to try some.
