Thankyou so much! I have a Tiger 900 and want to do the same. No other video on the internet shows how to remove and replace! You are a star! Subscribed! Two small bits of feedback, a) music a tad to loud (want to hear your comments), b) camera focus on the pin head was an issue.

Do you have additional pictures or description on which bolts need to be removed to remove the fairing to access the filter? Any tricks for getting the exhaust protect back in place?
@v59five88
@v59five88 Жыл бұрын
Hi Christopher, I accessed the bolts from under the fairing with the allen key. Fairly easy when you can see what you are doing. Lining up the protector, have the two slots ready to go in at the same time. Hope this helps, very straight forward job. You will be fine!

Good song. I cannot get the oil filter off. I used the adjustable filter wrench so tight that it’s denying the filter.

Run it before you put your plastics back on,, to check for any oil leaks, don't want any nasty surprises down the road !

Something I do to make less of a mess, put aluminum foil wrapped around the exhaust pipe so the oil from the filter doesn’t get all over the pipes. Super easy clean up

1:35 there’s a way to remove the fairing with only taking 2 out of the 4 bolts out and slipping it off. i can’t remember if it’s the rear bolts or front.

The rear ones, I just did it. Also is so painful to put back on the exhaust protector in place... 😔

Just 2 bolts, 1 each side and 1 on the heat shield? I thought both bolts on each side had to be removed.

why dont you upgrade the front fork first as the front is really soft...? I am planning upgrade the same model as yours. but on the other hand, once you sell your bike the second hand value is really low... I am still struggling should I spend that money or not...

I was searching ninj400 yss and saw you upgraded the rear shock. Why would you choose to upgrade the rear rather than the front? Is this rear shock giving you more confidence in higher speed at corner?

More stability in the rear keeps the tyre connected to the road. Gives a smooth and stable ride.

I am very happy with the shock. If safety and stability are important, then it is a winner. It is also relative to how you ride your bike. General commuting around town, upgrade your tyres. Riding through twisty roads makes a big difference with connection to the road. Hope this helps.

hey man, I'm wondering the performance of this YSS G-top shock for the Ninja 400. Is it worth to buy it? thx
@v59five88

It make a difference in your ability to tune and set up your rear shock. It will give you more stability and keep your tyre connected to the road more often. Will help with tyres and grip. It was worth buying for me personally. Thanks for you question. If you need any more clarification let me know.
