I use these on the kayak, and wading around the river flats fishing. They definitely shine around slippery barnacle crusted boat ramps. Not a hiking shoe. Get better insoles if you plan on putting any miles on these. They do what they were intended for, grip and dry out fast.

That sheath is a cluster fu_k. The belt loop being pushed so far back, causing it to push the knife away from the body. The place for the fero rod making it stick out more from the body instead of being at the top or blade edge of the blade is stupid, and heavy knives are annoying! I have pistols that weight that much loaded…. Only good things about this (to me, knives are a very personal thing) are the handles, including the indent for starting a fire with the bow drill (even though of all those knives sold only three owners will actually start a fire with it that way…..

I got a pair to use on canoe camping trips in the Adirondacks. I will be trying them out this season. I expect that they will be especially good on trips that involve carries between lakes and ponds. I heard that they take some time to break in, so I will be wearing them around camp on less strenuous trips first to break them in.

Nice to see a review with realistic personal opinion, rather than OTT fanboy advertising. They need to be half the price and a lot of ' fan boys ' ( sponsored..?) have really hyped them up. As others have indicated, in reality they're really niche footware. To those who haven't yet purchased a set, think of the old ' Plimsolls ( eg: Dunlop's) old tennis shoes crossed with a Scuba diving bootie with almost NO CUSHIONING. Good for climbing off Z boats onto Ships, wet decks ( Lozenge cut in tread like Yachty deck shoes) . NOT A TRAINER.

These boots are Op Specific. They are not walking shoes or hiking boots, they are simply for water operations. Comparing these to regular shoes shows how little research you have done prior to making this video.

I like the knife I went and got one but when I got it I got the 1095 steel and don't realize I got the 1095 when I got it I wanted to get the 154cm steel so I'm just going to buy another one and have this one to beat it up I like 1095 but I hate it rust to quick

I agree with OP. I have their Cuma Kage and it rusted so quickly. Just annoying that a $360 blade can’t be rust proof. Love it in every other way however.

It's not really a Scandi grind as there is a secondary bevel ... it's commonly called a Sabre grind as a result - great knife!

Altama makes some of the best boots. These were made for seals who use their boots in conjunction with their flippers in maritime operations. Altama just released a new lineup of the Urban Assault shoes that have a flex knit upper with mesh lining. More comfortable and flexible for an everyday wear.

I'm sure that by now, you've been told that these are purpose built, OTB (Over The Beach), MARITIME ASSAULT TACTICAL BOOTS; not all weather boots, or casual wear. If you want to wear them for style, use socks, and make any needed changes to the insoles.

@@charlie_roam they're made out of 1000D Cordura. They're literally bulletproof. Mine work for the intended purpose. Perhaps you should consider getting the Urban Assault Boots, if you're wanting a shoe to bum around, in the city...

@@charlie_roam thirteen-year-old's airsoft shoes. That is Pure Ignorance right there. Shows you have no idea what the material even is. It's 1000D Cordura. Not the Best Material in the world but has excellent tear strength and is very abrasion-resistant. This fabric is amazingly tough and versatile. for the price you get a pair of Amazingly Functional Quality made boots that are made with a specific purpose in mind Imagine someone Buying a Bulletproof Kevlar Vest for a T-shirt because they don't realize the vest is built for a purpose, Not Fashion, And that person is like Yuck OMG this Material is Cheap Crap something that would be made for a little kid You know how Stupid that person would look? Now I know this is not as extreme as that but you get what I am saying

@Lolithetrolli I mean, I still have a pair of Nike's from High School baseball that work fine. The reality is these shoes were made and developed to sell to kid's who airsoft and want to have a functional pair of shoes for casual wear. They may say it was developed for maritime operations but I find it highly unlikely that an operator would be wearing a pair of eighty-dollar shoes for a night-time maritime assault. Maybe he is on a tight budget.

@@charlie_roam If you look into Altama themselves they have been making military boots for a long time. They are my personal all purpose boot guys I wear the army version boot at work and saw the otb used by alot of dudes in Iraq by a variety of high speed dudes including SF and SEALs. These reason they are popular in airsoft is because they are popular in the military. Edit: Didn't read description first but point still stands these were NOT made for airsoft but picked up by players.
