Just keep relaxed, and if you feel you're provoking an aggressive response and you don't have your smoker, just close them up and go get your smoker. By the time you get back the hive will have calmed down and you can pop your super on. Great looking hives👍 I think they'll do well.

Lol, I actually forgot to tell you a little trick, I meant to mention. I assume that new second super is all foundation? ( New frames?) To encourage the bees up into the second super and start drawing comb, take two partially drawn frames from your first honey super and pop them in the middle of the new super with a frame of foundation in between them. Drop the two foundation frames from the new super into the lower honey super either where you pulled the drawn frames or at both edges of the super. Drawn comb will encourage the bees to work the new frames of foundation much faster and comb is the second most important thing in a hive next to a good Queen. I don't know if you follow any experienced beekeepers on KZbin but Kamon Reynolds and Bob Binnie and Peter Cowin the bee whisperer are some great north american beekeepers who have fantastic videos, lots of great advice and experience. I've been at this since I was fourteen, I'm now 54, and I'm always learning something new from other beekeepers around the world.

The trains around here block the roads every day, several times a day, at lots of crossings and it gets annoying.

They have gotten fines, but pay them and keeping doing the same.

I pre-froze the trays with the Little Debbie cakes & pies. The temp was 125 because I wasn't doing anything with chocolate. Total time was 24 hours. I didn't write down any other changes. I may have had to bump the time a couple of hours. But it should take between 20 - 24 hours.

No, I don't worry about any of that. I only put them on here when I'm transporting and store them when not using.

I pre freeze my trays to help keep the ice cream cold longer while preparing. After each tray is filled, I place it back in the freezer. You can cut the ice cream sandwiches into your desired size, but cut fast. I leave the settings to what the factory sets it (about 125 degrees). I run the cycle for 36 hours. I started it for 24 hours but wasn't long enough then added 12 more hours. Then pack.

I cut the cheesecake into small thin pieces then froze them. I didn't do any adjusting for the temp (left it as what it showed from the factory settings). The time however was for 36 hours. I did have it set for 24, but some of the cheesecake bites had toppings that didn't dry all the way and that's when I let it run for 12 more hours. Plain cheesecake should be fine with 24 hours.

Wasn't supposed to explain anything. Just pulling the pin and let it fall.

What is there to explain? Remove base bolts. Stand back and watch it fall. Done. Definitely not my way to do it but whatever.

I just liked the looks of it better. No other reason.

The trail cam has never scared them off before, plus that trail cam was full and not taking pictures for 5 more days. But it was very windy and the blind was making all kinds of noise.

Fix jello mix as normal. As the jello starts thickening up (before its firm) mix in a container (8 oz. tub) of whipped cream. Place into molds of chosen size and/or spoon out your desired size (dollup). Pre-freeze then freeze dry as normal.
