We all want to fill the deficiency inside of us and I tried to fill mine with competition, success, alcohol, marijuana, relationships and probably some other things, too. Those were just the signals I had unrecognized trauma driving my behavior. Traumatic experience lies behind any addiction. Address your trauma and your addictions will most likely handle themselves. Address your addictions without also addressing your trauma and you will remain an addict. You will simply substitute a socially acceptable behavior for one that is not so apparently debilitating.

Bill said in "HIS MIND" he didn't say what webster said, in order to understand a book I got to understand the way the author thinks

Bill was asked a lot of times by the early members what was the difference and he wrote a letter on the subject you can find it in the AA archives, Bill said in his mind the two words meant the same thing he just didn't want to keep using the same word over and over, he does that with a number of words in the Big Book, in his english class he learned if you keep using the same word over and over it just shows how dumb you are....

Drank some Kombucha. Felt a slight buzz. Had no idea there was alcohol in so googled it and sure enough. I drink a certified 0.0 NA "beer". Gonna stick with that.
