Where do we get this seaweed solution? What other option of fertilizer? Is the soil like the cactus? Thank you .
@hergreenspace2 күн бұрын
Seaweed solution is easily available on amazon or other online stores as well as in offline stores where plants are selled. For peace lily > we can give it variety of organic fertilizer like vermicompost, compost tea, mustard liquid fertilizer. If you use chemical fertilizer you can also use them like NPK 19-19-19 etc. And for the soil mix you can watch peace lily videos on my channel. If you want a proper soil mix or soil less mix pls comment.

I've killed two. I propagated one and started a new plant. It grew two leaves and then it died. I don't know what I did wrong.
@hergreenspace2 күн бұрын
I am sorry yours didn't survive but it happens with me also. Gardening is all a trial and error. Try again and you will get success surely. First try to grow it in water i always propagate most of my plants in water..in water propagation we can easily check for any rot or other problem. I have made a short on syngonium where you can see i propagated it in water and then shifted to soil.
@blessedandhighlyfavored9375Күн бұрын
@hergreenspace that is what I did. It was doing well for a couple months. I pulled it from the soil and placed it back in water. The leaves are continuing to wilt, but I am hoping to get roots started from the stem since it has modes.

I’m so lucky I found you. I saw these on my philodendron and thought nothing of them until I saw this video. I realized that my plant had rust fungus (oh no D:) so I sprayed neem oil on it.

Glad I could help! And thankyou for watching.... and writing.... it really matters to me....also keep on spraying neem oil every 15 days.. I have found that the rust fungus comes back if we do not apply neem oil every 15 days...

@hergreenspace25 күн бұрын
Yes, turmeric water can be used to deter pests. But it won't kill all the infestation and we have to apply some kind of pesticide solution to get rid of Infestation. Neem oil is the best organic pesticide.

How long u keep that plastic on ? Like mine rotted
@hergreenspaceАй бұрын
Sorry to hear that your propagation rotted but try again hopefully you get success this time. Keep the plastic cover on until you notice: New growth or tiny leaves emerging. The leaves are firm and not wilting, which indicates successful rooting. This may take around 3-6 weeks, depending on humidity and temperature. Remove the plastic briefly every few days to allow air exchange and prevent mold or rot. Ensure the potting mix stays lightly moist but not soggy. Gradually remove the plastic by increasing the time it stays off each day to acclimate the plant to lower humidity. Once it is growing steadily, you can completely remove the plastic.

One of my aglanema gas brown spots. How to treat it?
@hergreenspaceАй бұрын
Hi Brown spots on your Aglaonema could be caused by various factors. Here's how to identify the issue and address it: Possible Causes: 1. Overwatering or Root Rot Symptoms: Soft brown spots, yellowing leaves, or wilting. Solution: Check the roots. If they are mushy and smell bad, trim the rotten parts and repot the plant in fresh, well-draining soil. Water only when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. 2. Underwatering Symptoms: Dry, crispy brown spots on leaves. Solution: Ensure the soil is consistently moist but not soggy. Water the plant thoroughly and let excess water drain out. 3. Low Humidity Symptoms: Brown tips or edges on the leaves. Solution: Increase humidity by misting, using a pebble tray, or placing the plant near a humidifier. 4. Pest Infestation Symptoms: Tiny brown spots, yellowing leaves, or visible pests like spider mites, mealybugs, or scale. Solution: Inspect the plant closely. Wipe leaves with a cotton swab dipped in diluted neem oil or insecticidal soap. 5. Fungal or Bacterial Infection Symptoms: Irregular-shaped brown spots with yellow halos. Solution: Remove affected leaves and improve air circulation. Use a fungicide or antibacterial spray. 6. Sunburn Symptoms: Brown patches on leaves exposed to direct sunlight. Solution: Move the plant to bright, indirect light. Aglaonemas prefer shade or filtered light. 7. Nutrient Deficiency Symptoms: Browning alongside yellowing or pale leaves. Solution: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season. Treatment Steps: 1. Diagnose the cause based on the symptoms. 2. Remove affected leaves with sterilized scissors to prevent spreading. 3. Adjust care as needed: improve watering, light, humidity, or pest control. 4. Monitor the plant over time and repeat treatments if necessary. Let me know if you need help with further diagnosis!

How many plants are in the pot? 😍🤩 Did it send out new shoots as it grew?
@hergreenspaceАй бұрын
There are multiple plants in this pot.. yes it grew vigorously... I have even made new plants grom it.
@queenmajeedaАй бұрын
@@hergreenspace Did you add plants to that pot or did it keep multiplying? Someone gave me a small one and told me to plant it in a big pot because it grows fast but I've lost two leaves so I plan on putting it in a smaller pot. That's how I found your video by the way, I did a search on how Syngonium grows. So, tell me about the growth of yours. Did you start in a smaller pot, then had to move to a larger one because the plant kept multiplying in numbers?
@hergreenspaceАй бұрын
@queenmajeeda Don't keep the plant in very big pot, as it may die of overwatering... you can keep it in the pot as per the roots size( pot in which there was some space for roots to expand). Initially I kept it in the required pot size not very big and nor small... I shifted the plant to a bigger size when roots started coming out of bottom holes. You plant multiple cuttings in a single pot so that it grows bushy... recently I propagated some cuttings of syngonium in water and then i shifted it to soil.. you can see that short for reference. My new plant is looking bushy and growing new leaves from Top as well as from bottom. As yours is small plant first let it grow more sets of leaves and then take some cuttings from just below the nodes , grow them in water or directly put them in soil or in the same pot with the mother plant.

@hergreenspace thank you! I'm going to repot it now.

I have tried propagating zz plant from leaves but my leaves always get rot. I will try this time in water .. before I propagated directly in soil. the soil mix you gave is super.... thanks

It's much easier to propagate in water first, it's a lot less risky than directly in soil!

I don't have coco coir can I use coco peat in place of it. Are they similar?
@hergreenspace2 ай бұрын
Yes you can use coco peat too but the ratio would be less.. they are not similar... Coco peat is made from the husks of coconuts, while coco coir is made from the fibers of coconuts. Drainage and aeration: Coco peat is more absorbent than coco coir and holds more water, making it better for plants that need more water.

Hi. Do cocopeat and coco coir refer to the same medium?
@hergreenspace2 ай бұрын
They are very similar, but coco coir is the outer husk of the coconut, while cocopeat is made from the inner part. They differ in their texture and composition. While coco peat is fine and powdery and coco coir is coarse and fibrous.
@sunflowershine12102 ай бұрын
@hergreenspace Thanks. So, have you used coir or cocopeat as the medium looks fine rather than coarse?
@hergreenspace2 ай бұрын
@@sunflowershine1210 Actually i used coco coir only otherwise i would have written coco peat in the captions... we can use any of the two. The coco coir appears powdery because it was taken from the bottom of the bag, where the finer particles tend to settle. It's essentially pure coco coir.
@sunflowershine12102 ай бұрын
@@hergreenspace Thank you for the clarification as many a times, people use these as synonyms and is really confusing as to what should be used. So, if I understand it correctly, the fibers have to be shredded to manageable size and used.
