J'ai fait la meme session en bretagne ce soir soleil couchant, 12 a 15 knts , plan d'eau plat, Sk8 950, swing 5m, board 75 L, mat alu 85, (moins de 60 kgs) , dans un decor du même genre 😉 seul dans l'eau , super session ! Sk8 , c'est vraiment cool !

Le Sk8 950 c'est mon foil préféré, avec carbon must 85 et 54L board. J'ai aussi le SS 1300 pour light wing et downwind..

What was the maximum wind speed in which you could handle this kite?

Here there was really light Wind, around 10/12 knots. I normally ride with peak 8 m in light wind and I have also 6 m and 4m. To do backcountry I use my 8 and I bring my 4 in the bag (with ski)..

I just had an awesome session in similar conditions (plus amazing almost glassy waves) with an Eagle 990, which seemed to move quite a bit faster than that. Any comparison between Eagle and SK8 greatly appreciated. Ciao e grazie.

Basically yes, but SK8 1050 works really good also in light wind conditions..

How did you find it for jumping, I am currently looking into getting 1200 7Seas for light wind days vs Sk8 and would appreciate your opinion 😌🤙

Hi Bohdan! So, I have the 7seas 1200 and I love it for light wind, anyway I'm intermediate wing foiler. Alessandro is an advancer, we are testing the SK8 and he really loves it. I think it depends also for your level and skill with wing Foil and, of course, by your weight: if you are more than 85 kg maybe 7seas 1200 is the best choice, if you are less maybe SK8 1050 or 7seas 1000 are good options. @@alessandrospano9916 I am 68kg, currently I ride 1280cm2 with 6.8 AR (from Axis) with 60l board and 5’5 Strike v2. I am looking for a light wind weapon that easy to water start, will jump and glide a bit in Mediterranean Sea (I have ~150h wing foiling, can jibe, tack, 360 turns, jump). But still feel a bit “scared” (cause never tried) to ride 1000 foil in 10-12 kt, I live in Barcelona and most of the time winds are pretty light 😌

@@libanes thank you, I am bit lighter 68kg but feel kind of scared to ride 1000 in light wind and where I live there is no one I can borrow a wing from, so kind of debating safe option vs advanced option 😅

@@bohdanafanasyev3642 I don't like big foils, the 1050 sk8 is my biggest for light winds, under 10 knots I prefer to use the 7mq but stay with a small board with a fast and agile foil that allows me to wave and jump. your weight is good for light wind... I don't think you will have problems

Hello @libanes! Amazing video! When you say 12 knots was it 12 knots established with gusts at 16 knots? also what's your technique to stand up with an half sinker board (48l)? do you have a video tuto?

75 kg...to be a 1050 it is certainly very fast, it is not a race foil of course

Hi. Nice session. Who was using Eagle 1090, Alessandro or Benedetta? Do you see a difference between Eagle 1090 and Phantom 1080?

Hi Norbert! Is Alessandro using the Eagle 1090; the main difference is for waves: Phantom is the best solution for waves, Eagle is perfect for downwind and is faster. Anyway Hugo Marin (rider from F-one) uses the Eagle also for riding on big waves. I personally change right now my Phantom 1480 for F-one Seven Seas 1200, it's a foil with intermediate characteristics between Phantom and Eagle. I hope I helped you somehow! Tnks for commenting!

Hi Giulio, I also use Phantom 1480 and now thinking to downsize. I did some sessions on Phantom 1080 on Rodos, 🇬🇷 which were great, but now F-One introduced Seven Seas and Eagle and I am confused which line to choose. I live close to the lake and I like to increase the speed. I will try basic jumping in the future.
