What color is Gavin's large? First I thought teal, but then the other guy's large which is a bit darker also looks teal. I want the color Gavin is wearing.

frustrating video really as what most people want to know is how hard you can pump up your board to make it as stiff as possible - and cant find it here as a normal part of using the Titan pump

In other words it _cannot_ be done? Just the top part can be removed and put back in? This isn't really a "replacement," but rather a "remove and put back." But apparently it's all that can be done without cutting the PVC. 😬

Hi there, I have the lovely parker green & orange Evo robe, super warm, comfy and great features, just one question though... What is the purpose of the long zip from under the right arm that extends halfway down the robe? Is this just to speed up the drying of the robe when wet? Has it some other use?
@RedPaddleCo
@RedPaddleCo 9 ай бұрын
Hi @BareFacedDriver . The hidden zip is known as a ghost zip. It allows access to the back of the garment primarily for when teams or groups want to add embroidery (e.g logos) to the back of the robe - we offer this service as well. It does though help with air circulation when drying.

I have the original Titan pump version not the newer #2. And frankly even as a 180 pound man I cant get the pump to go past 10 PSI with out someone helping me press the handle down. Obviously 10lbs isnt enough when the SUP is supposed to be filled to 15 PSI. Is my pump busted?
@RedPaddleCo
@RedPaddleCo 9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Are you removing the red plug from the back of the handle once you reach around 8psi? This isolates the large chamber and allows you to pump with only the small chamber. Here’s a video that should help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHi3p6CsYrOCbrc&si=xkbApsaH-5O0rxsb

Will this keep me float, even if I cant swim
@RedPaddleCo
@RedPaddleCo 10 ай бұрын
Hi, As long as you choose the right size for your body size/ weight then it will give you enough buoyancy to float you but you will still need give some input - e.g moving your legs and arms. If you were not moving your limbs it won’t keep you fully afloat. To achieve full floating you would need to use a 150N buoyancy aid. It’s important that you feel confident in the water wearing it so we would suggest you try the vest in shallow water first before using in deeper water or with a paddle board to check it works for you. At the end of the day water competency is an important factor for all Waterports. Building your confidence over time is important.

Could do with one of these at Broadsands beach near Brixham. What is the cost of inflating a paddle board please? Thanks.
@RedPaddleCo
@RedPaddleCo 11 ай бұрын
Hi Tel, the cost of inflation is set by the owner/operator of the unit. On average it is £3 per board (depending on the size of the board you might get 2 inflated for that price as it is based on time - similar to a garage forecourt tyre inflator).

Please get a proper life jacket - the whole point is to help if you fall into water in difficult circumstances - if you can reach down with two hands, work a zip, put a life jacket on and inflate it then great - probably should have used that time to get back on your board or out of the water. If you can't do that, you need a real life jacket. How good a swimmer you are is irrelevant; wear a proper life jacket.
@RedPaddleCo
@RedPaddleCo 11 ай бұрын
Hi James, It's about choosing the right type of PFD (note not a 'Lifejacket' as that is a different type of floatation not suited to SUP) for the conditions and your experience/confidence level. There is a place for the various types. A waist belt PFD is ideal when paddling on still water when there is no risk of entrapment and you just want that extra bit of reassurance/floatation if you were to become separated from your board, which as you say is your main floatation aid. No zips to undo, you just pull it directly from it's pouch and over your head. A quick and easy motion. A great solution for calm paddling in warm weather when a full foam PFD can be too hot and the temptation is to take it off, at which point it's useless.
