@@danidandans hmmm, well if you are doing drums I imagine you'd have to draw pretty specific notes in specific octaves to get it to trigger the note. But, if you want to make beats, Kong or Redrum are best for that. Combo it with Beatmap and you won't need to plug in your Midi controller yet 😊

Hi, I just found your channel and this interesting comparison. Thanx a lot for it! May I ask you a question about the Orchestral Tools Sine Player in Reason - since you use Amber which I also like so much… ? I’m having trouble automating some of its parameters in Reason with midi controllers, besides Velocity and Expression. The other ones - listed in the option tab of Sine Player - I can’t do nothing with’em, they don’t react to the moves of my faders or knobs, and I can’t automate them by hand, either. Is it a Reason (my DAW of choice) problem, a Sine Player one or am I making something wrong? Thanks for your answer if you have one… Have a great day!
@dekoningtan3 ай бұрын
First of all, glad you found it. Second question... let me look into this and I'll report back to you. For myself, I've usually stuck with Velocity and Expression and done other mixing inside the VST itself-- I agree SINE Player isn't the most... intuitive in working with Reason! I'll have a look and tell you if I have the same issue.
@dekoningtan3 ай бұрын
Yes, I've found the same thing. I can control Expression, Velocity... And I can assign some few MIDI CC controls, but hooking it up to a Combinator, for example isn't possible. I wonder if it would be good to write to Orchestral Tools about it?
@pako47913 ай бұрын
That’s the next step I thought of… Since I feel like home in it, I don’t want to work in another DAW than Reason for orchestral stuffs, but I’d sometimes like to be able to automate some more things in OT libraries… Not a dealbreaker, though. By the way, your videos of sampling in NNXT are great! And thank you so much for your time!

@@pako4791 I get what you mean, I have Reaper as well and have heard good things about Bitwig, but I still prefer Reason's more visual layout and find it a powerful DAW, so why switch? Haha! Happy to help! Hey, if we both email them, maybe they can give some insight :)
