Looks like a really interesting project -- might be difficult to get it past the Ubisoft legal department though

it's not official project, so it's okay I guess. Trackmania 2 and TMUF are not very strict in the copyright matters. Even if I would need to change it, I would have gone with other 3d models that are available on ManiaPark :D

FAQ: - What is this about? It is a complete extension (=titlepack, as it was called in prev game ManiaPlanet) for the game that will add a new gamemode, new menus, new music, new campaign and other stuff The Platform is the name of the gamemode from old Trackmanias, where your goal was to get as least respawns as possible. The gamemode had also its own campaign back then. - Will it require OpenPlanet? Yes. You need openplanet to download and launch this thing :D

i actually found this out a long time ago, pretty cool that the base titles for other envis also have the replays and same menus, and some (stadium, and sm storm) have animations on the titlepack station

maniaplanet 3 in general was way better than the newer maniaplanets, it had better HUD, cleaner UI resembling the familiar old TMUF, better graphics, better car sounds. Maniaplanet got downgraded

@@BigBang1112tmI remember playing MP3 on a 7200RPM mechanical hard drive and the menu load times were indeed awful (sometimes taking around 30 seconds just to enter a title), although they probably weren't as bad if you had a SSD. The tinted sky backgrounds from MP2 were a nice compromise where you had fast load times, but also something animated as the menu background.
