This was amazing! I can't stand nondisclosure - it makes all of us look bad. On organic v. Sponsored balance - I agree with you, but people also have to remember that every product we feature that isn't sponsored or gifted comes out of our pocket. As a teeny-weeny creator 😂, I'm not always in a position to run out and buy $300 of the latest greatest everything, much less spend it on things I really don't need. It's kinda weird how a lot of people scoff at the idea of content creation as a viable source of income while simultaneously assuming that influencers make a ton of disposable money.

Such a great discussion! I started a YT member group in January. My top tier is $20 and I am looking at it as an “incubator” for content I want to put together in a course/book. YT takes a huge cut, but there’s no learning curve for me. I look it as they are paying me to produce content I can repurpose. And I have no hesitation with charging because I know I am expediting their results and saving them much more than the cost in supplies they don’t need.

Hey Austen, thank you for your feedback on the subject. I never started memberships because I always thought if I create more content for a membership, it might as well be content for my channel - in the end it doesnt necessarily bring more money but it's double the work

Just bumped into you. So helpful all the information you gave. I wanted to ask what would be the best app to use for a company selling a service. I’m not a blogger or selling a product. I just purchased a mobile detail car wash company. People call to get their car washed and we come to their home. Trying to start, posting on all the social media pages including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and seems like KZbin and Pinterest are also good options. Do you have any suggestions for some thing very easy to use for beginners but would focus more on selling a service? Thank you for your time and thank you for all your information. I want to post short videos of the car being washed, close-ups of the wheels and the interior. Photos of before and after etc. what would you suggest oh and something free to start until I understand the whole process and can move into some thing that is moreadvanced that you pay for later. Lastly, if there is a platform that I can use that could allow me to post on all the social media pages where I don’t have to make separate things for each social media place but rather make something ones and post it across-the-board on all platforms.
