This video continues to aid us with a stuck cutter assembly. Boiled for 4 minutes and my frozen blades are free.

So glad the video helped unstick the blades!
@JohnNelson-p1n11 күн бұрын
@@whilldtkwriter Later last evening I found the blade difficult to turn, so I tried a follow up. I brought a glass of water, half filled, to a boil in the microwave. Then I placed the cutter assembly upon the glass rim, to allow it to heat up. I dripped Olive Oil over the drive end sprocket and twisted the sprocket. I poured off and reapplied several times, My hope was that as the assembly cooled down, it would suck the olive oil into the shaft. So far it seems to have helped. It may be ok to use a premium lubricating oil, but I'm a bit paranoid.
@whilldtkwriter11 күн бұрын
@@JohnNelson-p1n I hope your solution works. I think some other commenters mentioned adding a little bit of dish soap in the boiling water to really remove any residues. As you have added olive oil, considering the appliance is for food items, I don't know if using a lubricating oil would be either helpful or harmful. Had you tried powering on your appliance to see if it spun well? I myself made sure to rinse the post-boiled assy, wipe dry w/rag, hand-rotated a few turns, and set it on something to ensure total air dry. I put the assy back in the blender and pushed the button to ensure it still spins. I use the blender often enough that it doesn't freeze up.
@JohnNelson-p1n10 күн бұрын
I believe this sticky situation occurred because it sits on the shelf for months. My first attempt, it came loose, but perhaps I should have loaded it and run for a few minutes. Anyway today it freely rotates. Thanks again for launching my efforts, and resulting success!

@@JohnNelson-p1n Glad it's working again. Be sure to occasionally power the blender on to ensure it spins. I know what you mean about not using the appliance for months at a time. Haven't ground items or blended hummis in awhile.

They never seem to have a lot of attachment to a herd or the male who fathered them. Mum appears to shoulder all responsibility.
@whilldtkwriter5 ай бұрын
I think bucks mate with does, then go on their merry way (autumn time). Around May/June when does drop their loads, mums and fawns stay close to each other for awhile. I have captured scenes of seemingly social herding. You might be able to infer if you view some of my deer playlist videos. Males pal around during summer, fuzzy antlered. By fall, they've scraped off the fuzz, no longer hang ou with guys, compete for does, dominance, and territory.

Glad you like the followup! I'll have one more in about a month or so. The remaining cedar will need cutting down. About a couple of weeks ago, it snapped so that the top half is angled about 90 degrees but still attached. Intending to record the cutting, removal, and stump surface. The scale is Vemco of Pasadena Ca. Marked for tenth inches on one edge ("50TH"), twelfth inches on other side ("32ND"). BTW, for best accuracy in drawing items on mech dwgs,, used E-size gridded mylar (tenth-in grid) underneath medium on motorized Mayline drafting table. Still have plastic templates and triangles? Thanks, nice video! Brought back great memories of shade and tree houses. I grew up in Galveston county and our yard had 4 very large Sycamores which eventually approached 100'. They were planted around 1910 for shade when the area was a pasture for dairy cows. Ironically, the area was called "The Highlands" but was only about 9' above sea level. Tree roots easily found more water than they could use. The Sycamores held up fairly well during most hurricanes despite the branches being somewhat brittle. Wind blowing through the large leaves mad a lovely sound.

They shortened the time and effort somewhat. BTW, the pitcher would probably be really helpful in case you decide to make cupcakes instead of layer cake. Guess is to spray oil into muffin cakes, fill 2/3 full, and bake for about 18 or so minutes coz of muffin well size. Might be enough batter to dispense up to 18 cupcakes. I tried this. It worked. Partially. I could still see a bunch of gunk that could be future issue. (20 yr old beast of a blender, this blew the fuse. So we looked everywhere for this type of fuse, without any success, so my bf altered a different type of fuse and soldered it on.) That's when we realized the locked blade. So after the boiling in water, I looked down inside and it was nasty. So I boiled again with Blue Dawn in the water. The water was yellow/brown after and the gunk was gone. Still hit with a old toothbrush just to clean any residue and maybe he will get another 20 out of it!

How do i open the panasonic blender's base it's a little different than your's, should i just turn it like you did ? I'm fed up of getting things out of order i want to learn it myself😟
@whilldtkwriter Жыл бұрын
@@promax9159 Hi! Do you have a manual for your Panasonic blender? If not, find the model number and do a google search for the model's manual that might show you what the parts are and how to separate them. Main separation is jar/gasket/bladeassy from base that attaches to the motor unit. Then separate the jar from gasket from blade assy. Boil water; drop blade assy in for a few minutes, adding a little liquid detergent if helpful. Rinse the blade assy in cooler water and see if the blades move. Pay close attention to the order of the parts you separate. Be careful of sharp points and hot water. Let me know how the fix works. The video might reinforce the instructions and order of items. Good luck!

@@promax9159 Let's try something different. As you a a YTuber, you can post videos. Put a camera on a tripod, record the Panasonic blender--move it around, rotate it, show frontal, bottom views. Make sure you mention the model number or show text on video. Separate the parts that you can, recording so you can put everything back. YW! Your suggestion sounds tasty! Eh, I basically work at being lazy w/methodologies. As for scooping, I discuss a bit of it in "Low-effort Choco Chip Cake Mix Cookies" (whilldtkwriter.blogspot.com/2022/04/low-effort-choco-chip-cake-mix-cookies.html) in the "Dough Dispensing" section. Scooping can get tedious because of the one-at-a-time source-to-destination travel loop for dough. My next attempt will probably be using a house brand cake mix, same maraschino cherry methodology, and adding a half envelope of cherry Kool-Aid into the oil and egg mixture.

Thanks for compliment! Heh! Logistics just wouldn't work, I imagine. Too many possible options, control issues over refrigeration, varieties, differing dough densities. Cooky options are really varied. From ready-to-eat shelf stable cookies and baked-fresh cookies to pouched dry ingredients for adding wet ingredients, to refrigerated pre-formed pellets. Then, of course, scratch-process and also cake-mix cookies for letting creativity pique the baker.

I tried putting a little oil in the mechanism then running it on the motor. Still stiff and even got warm. Do not try that. It could burn up the bearing. Found this video and was reluctant to try it on my plastic blade housing, and usually bearings and water don't mix. Boiled it and it works perfectly though! Got me wondering what's actually inside that lil thing.. 🤔
@whilldtkwriter2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Joel. Glad the video helped resolve your issue. I suspect that over time, some small amount of liquefied food residue built up into the blade assembly, sticking parts together at room temperature. Boiling the assembly (the water then acting as high-temperature solvent) dissolved the gunk so things could loosen up and move again.
