Spec sheet says IQ lights. Press office say IQ. Therefore, they are. Maybe a new design for the new year?

I read off the spec sheet, as the brand give us literally 20 minutes to know a car. If the spec says IQ then what else am I to know? :D

@@TheAutoDad iq lights have dynamic indicators. Spec sheet is incorrect. Literally written inside the light itself if it’s iQ, trust me I know everything there is to know about the golf. Not having a go I’m just pointing it out to maybe someone who thinks they are getting upgraded lights but they aren’t.

I actually prefer the front end styling of the HS, I think it just works better. This is not bad just from some angles it looks a bit frumpy but the interior in this is actually better and more modern than in the HS as it has type A and C USB connections whereas in the HS strangely even thought its the newer car it only has type A. Maybe they think only older people will be able to afford buy it. The interior in the HS is very nice especially with the tan leather. it's just a pity it lacks in some things like the type C USBs, for instance.

Yeah the HS is the flagship so definitely looks the best. The USB C connectivity will be updated as the facelifts come in.

All good until the clutch and flywheel fail which happens a lot with these cars. May not be a big issue when under warranty so long as Dacia does not wiggle out but becomes very costly after the 3 year warranty expires

I feel like clutch and flywheel is a failing point for a lot of small engine cars in this day and age. That said, a replacement isn’t haemorrhaging (£700-900 all in) and you can upgrade with a stronger setup at least to future proof.

I bought the 2024 Suzuki S Cross. Excellent in every point. I can complain only about one thing: why the manufacturers didn't place a light in the trunk. I have to use my cell phone all the time when I look for stuff at night. Not very practical when you have put or take things out. other than that, no issues whatsoever.

Hmm, 75mpg may be possible but only on a long, slow speed run. My SZ5 (Gen 3) auto gives me an actual 42mpg but I only do trips of 2-8 miles at slow speeds in traffic. However, the new Gen 4 three-cylinder engine should be a little more economical.

Technically the b-roll was done down a greenlane. But I’m not an expert so wouldn’t ever do a video off roading with a 50k press vehicle. 🤣 We both know it’s got off road capability, I just test the ‘family’ portion. 😆

however a Swift is not big, a microcar is much smaller ! I don't understand your problems with the clutch. Personally I have no problem with it, and many other reviewers find it pleasant to shift, as do I. But shifting is often a personal thing, so it might not work so well for you.

The gearbox is lovely, the clutch has absolutely no feel what-so-ever. It’s light as a feather, so for me - less than ideal.

nothing against your video mate, i hate the rise in 4x4 big trucks on small british roads, its like people forgot a normal 5 seater hatchback will do the same job at half the price and fuel consumption. I see people all the time in these big vehicles taking up half the road, only to be completely alone in that vehicle 😂

It’s true, sometimes these are a massive over kill for a simple task, never used for what they’re really intended. I see trucks like these for farmers, people who go on sites and genuinely need the space, but also need space for family at the weekends. Not… to live their life on tarmac. 🤣

@TheAutoDad i compleatly agree with you mate, and as my counter argument I would say if you need a heavy duty vehicle for carrying heavy items, a simple van will probably out perform these 4x4's

Some are built on the same line, some are built using the same parts in different plants. Ultimately though, they’re more like twins separated at birth than siblings.

generally suzuki cars are reliable my father had an suzuki ignis 2001 1.3L 83HP it was one of the best car's we had and now i have a suzuki liana 1.6 103hp it's a great car and the quality is top teir genially suzuki is underrated but better than the likes of fiat and Volkswagen build quality is better and the cars will last much longer long live suzuki.

I never got to drive a Liana, somewhat of a cult classic now. The build quality definitely stands the test of time, and they’re affordable too.

Bought the wife a 2015 Grand Picasso for hauling all the family about, she loves it and I like it while driving a BMW 520. Great tech in it , like massage seats, foot rest for the passenger, sliding and reclining second row seats, third row seats are a blessing for her. Some much room no matter where you sit while she gets 57MPG, way more than the BMW

I currently drive and enjoy my Jaguar XF 2011 model and still drives silky and I am enjoying it everyday so far. I am planning to buy my next car late next year but the thing is Jaguar stopped the XJ production. It is a shame really because I want a brand new but since the production had been stopped then I will settle with a 2019 XJ or an XJL.

Nice review Tom. Me and the wife have discussed if we could up size from a 7 seater to a mini van and no, I couldn't do it. They look good but at times you know its just a van. Oh and I can so relate with the songs 🤦🏼♂️

I feel like if you spec this van in the right way, it won’t feel like a van very much. No more than a V Class, anyway. The tech and comfort, exterior styling and build quality are all becoming closer than never before in the commercial sector.
