This is why 3D games should have taken off like crazy! 3D Games are outstanding, especially now that 4K is popular and passive 3D on a 4K TV set would still beat out the Active 1080p sets by double! People would no longer have to choose between Active Glasses that show a full, beautiful 1080p picture at the expense of having batteries and a slightly darker picture with heavier glasses, OR getting a nice clear picture that is brighter, and glasses that are not as heavy without batteries at the expense of getting HALF of a Full 1080p picture. Now with 4K UHD TV sets they can finally get an awesome picture which is DOUBLE that of a 1080p screen, AND still have the convenience of using Passive glasses that are clearer, lighter, have no batteries, and get the HDR all at the same time! yet, the new line up of 2017 TV sets have NO 3D Sets at all! This is the future we now live in, which is pure crap! We go from having a nice depth to our movies, and the future could have been amazing, and we now go right on back to our boring flat as paper experiences, thanks to the TV industry not having the brains to at least TRY to keep the 3D ball rolling, and make it more affordable, and more comfortable for people to have pushing the passive technology on 4K sets, and even 8K sets coming soon. Can you imagine using Passive glasses on an 8K set? You would have AMAZING 3D technology and STILL get 4K resolution! It would have been amazing! I guess all we have left now is the 3D Projectors! I guess it's time I stock up on at least having 2 3D Projectors, and 4 really nice Sony XBR-850C HDR 3DTV sets from 2016, as those are the last 3D TV's made that have both 4K and the new HDR technology! This is sad that many of us with a huge library of 3D BluRay discs, like myself (I have over 200+ movies and over 150+ 3D Games), have to look forward to using just what we have and use them until we croak since we don't want to live in a world of FLAT as paper picture quality sets. :( 3D FOREVER!
